@HQNigerianArmy So literally, Nigeria is at war with itself.
It shall never be well with those that forced people together and called it Nigeria.
Because a man that genuinely loves his country cannot take up arms against its military.
Divide Nigeria now or restructure.

BLOODY WEEKEND FOR ISWAP/BOKO HARAM ATTEMPT ON LOCATION IN KIRAWA AS HEAVY LOSSES INFLICTED ON THE TERRORISTS
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), under Operation DESERT SANITY and SIEGE OPERATIONS, have successfully thwarted attempted attack by suspected ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists on troops location in the Kirawa axis of Sector 1 OPHK Area of Responsibility in the early hours of 22 May 2026. A number of the suspected terrorists attempted to infiltrate positions held by troops of 153 Task Force Battalion and associated forces along the Nigeria–Cameroon border axis. The attack was swiftly detected and met with overwhelming firepower from alert troops and CJTF, who held their ground and contained the assault.
The terrorists were forced to abort their mission and withdraw in confusion towards the Cameroon axis, sustaining heavy casualties during the engagement. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance assets, alongside platforms of Air Component of OPHK and partner forces, provided coordinated support throughout the operation. Following the encounter, troops confirmed the neutralisation of 12 terrorists, while several others were observed retreating with gunshot wounds, as indicated by blood trails along their withdrawal routes. Recovered items include AK-47 rifles, rocket-propelled grenade systems, ammunition, and a PKT machine gun, further degrading the terrorists’ combat capability in the area.
Troops of OPHK, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force, have maintained their positions with heightened vigilance while exploitation operations continue to track fleeing elements and recover additional materiel. The Joint Task Force reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to sustaining operational pressure on terrorist elements until they are completely neutralised across the theatre. The Military High Command commended the troops for their gallantry, utmost professionalism, and swift response, the third in the week urging them to maintain the operational momentum in the collective interest of national security.

@fimlex2 It’s been quite the reality shock . Thought it was just the northerners that were being dense during Buharis time . I guess as long it’s anyone’s tribe , it’s okay to accept bad governance. It’s a shame we value religion and tribe over the lives of humans . Peak slavery

Convicted thieves in Edo Japan got branded with this exact tattoo. Now it's the most copied first tattoo of the 2020s.
They called it irezumi kei. Tattoo penalty.
Around 1745, Tokugawa Yoshimune banned cutting off noses and ears for theft and replaced it with permanent ink. Each region designed its own mark so any guard could read your record at a glance. Osaka was a single band high on the forearm. Sumpu got two bands. Chikugo used a cross. Sado used two crosses, one per offense. Hiroshima tattooed the character 大 onto your forehead, one stroke per crime. Three strokes and the next punishment was death.
The penalty came packaged with tokorobarai, formal banishment. You couldn't reenter your home city. Couldn't get hired. Couldn't fade into a crowd. The mark followed you the rest of your life, encoded with which city had sentenced you and how many times you'd done it.
This is the actual origin of the yakuza aesthetic. Convicts layered elaborate full-sleeve work over the punishment bands to hide them, and the entire decorative irezumi tradition grew directly out of cover-up. The Meiji government banned tattoos in 1872. That law got repealed. The stigma calcified into the modern rule keeping tattooed bodies out of onsen, gyms, and most public pools today.
The black double band that's now a default starter tattoo at modern studios used to mean you'd been exiled from Sumpu for theft. Same placement. Same proportions. Same ink.

Bro… the day I learned the REAL meaning of this tattoo in Japan changed how I look at EVERYONE who has one 😭

SPOTLIGHT: Sir Dickson, the accidental influencer who raises funds for distressed Nigerians
When desperation spills onto Nigeria’s social media timelines and hope almost hits a brick wall, one name is often summoned with urgency: Sir Dickson. Under posts from students facing expulsion over unpaid fees, families seeking urgent medical treatment, tenants on the brink of eviction, or strangers asking for help to feed through the week, users frequently tag the same account in the hope that attention and assistance might follow.
Over the years, the social media personality has built a reputation for mobilising donations for people in distress, helping to raise funds for hospital bills, rent, school fees, feeding, ransom payments for kidnapped victims, and even cases involving prisoners supporters believe were unjustly jailed.
