The SER: JSC’s front row seat to the Moon. 🌕 During the @NASAArtemis II lunar flyby yesterday, the Science Evaluation Room became Mission Control’s science hub, where experts in geology, data visualization, and crew imagery analyze lunar observations in real time. With a scrum team at the center, specialists in the Trench, and direct comms to Flight Control, the SER helps guide the crew as they capture views of the Moon and record key scientific observations. Opened in 2025, it’s JSC’s engine for rapid, mission‑shaping science.

Still on Mars with Curiosity. Still doing awesome science. Love this recent "MAHLI after dark" image we acquired last month of our drill in the super cool boxwork region: science.nasa.gov/resource/curio…

Check out the view from up here! As the Curiosity rover continues to climb the flanks of Mt. Sharp, it has captured an extraordinarily clear panorama of Gale Crater's rim...and even the lands beyond. Details: photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA266…

The last image data from NASA’s Opportunity rover was captured seven years ago today on June 9, 2018. #OTD With Oppy caught in a smothering dust storm, it doesn’t show much but noise…and couldn’t even complete a full picture frame.😢

Had an amazing opportunity to attend the premier of @natgeodocs new film “Sally” tonight, and it provided some sorely needed inspiration and hope. Brave people like Tam and Sally change the world for the better. Out June 16 on Nat Geo and the next day on Disney/Hulu+ #SALLYfilm

Recent actions by the US federal government have me really concerned about our future leadership in innovation. I wrote about it here: thehill.com/opinion/educat…

Following successful deployment of NASA’s Lunar Trailblazer from a SpaceX Falcon 9 on Feb. 26, mission operators at @CaltechIPAC received engineering data indicating intermittent power system issues. The spacecraft transmitter went out early Thursday but came on again hours later. The team is working with NASA ground stations to reestablish telemetry and commanding to better assess the power system issues and develop potential solutions. Updates: blogs.nasa.gov/trailblazer
