The $11 billion bailout for American row-crop farmers is a band-aid on a shotgun wound.
We are staring down the worst agricultural crisis Arkansas has seen since the Great Depression— worse than the 1980s—in a state where agriculture generates at least $20 billion a year.
The only reason Tom Cotton spoke to the Ag Council today is because my campaign has forced the issue. He has never cared about Arkansas farmers, so much so that he voted against the Farm Bill twice and supported a $40 billion bailout for Argentinian farmers instead of fighting for our own. He doesn’t know farming, and he’s never bothered to learn. I know people who were in that room today, and I know he didn’t ask farmers a single real question. He never has.
This so-called promise of more assistance is too little, too late. It’s like walking into a hospice room and asking a dying patient to hang on a little longer while you think about a cure.
Here’s the truth: farmers don’t want to live on bailouts. We want to stand on our own two feet. What we needed, what we still need, is a U.S. Senator who will do the job and use the full power of the federal government to open new markets. Tom Cotton never has. I will.
As a U.S. Senator, it will be my job to knock down doors, to negotiate with any country or company that wants to buy an Arkansas-grown or Arkansas-made product. I will do that because I believe in Arkansas.
We have the best farmers, the best dirt, the best land-grant universities, and the best researchers in the world. I will settle for nothing less than a healthy, prosperous Arkansas.

French says one thing about Arkansas land. Yet, his record says the opposite.
He voted against:
-the law that fixes our levees and water systems.
-clean water rules that protect farms.
-rural development funds.
He sides with Wall Street buyers while family farms get pushed out.

Protecting Arkansas land and empowering our local communities; that’s what leadership looks like. It’s about preserving what makes our state strong.

I'm running for Congress to represent my home (AR-02).
Our story isn’t about perfection, it’s about freedom. Freedom that too many families are losing because everything costs so much more.
It’s time for change.
