How to make extremely long words fit mobile screens 1. Copy a soft hyphen. 2. Select a location for an optional word break. 3. Paste the soft hyphen. Especially useful for improving responsiveness and reducing risks of unwanted content overflows.

If you’re on the fence about creating @framer templates in 2024, even just as a small side project/hobby - do it! 2023: - 0 tweets about templates - 0 promotion outside framer marketplace - 3 (quite basic) templates created - $3,909 earned (templates/affiliate) There is still so much opportunity for you to join in the community, whether it’s a main source of income or just some extra spending cash!

@ridd_design @raycastapp Clipboard history is a game changer! Clipy is also a super nice little lightweight app for that (doesn’t do everything raycast does tho) github.com/Clipy/Clipy

Potentially the #1 question I get in Figma Academy is surprisingly... "How do you have unlimited clipboard history?" 😆 If you're a designer, I cannot recommend downloading @raycastapp enough. It truly gives you superpowers.

@dieg0liv This is such a good approach! Makes a page feel so much more human. Have any good examples or inspiration?

For me, storytelling on websites is like a conversation. If you had 5 mins with someone to talk about what you're offering, what would you say to keep that person listening? How would you make them feel interested in listening more of it? Take that conversation, and apply to your design. That's when you start designing with purpose. Frame the problem, tease a solution, present the benefits. Don't overdo it. Don't make the conversation boring or superficial. With that, you're not animating everything and using random AI generated textures just to look modern and fancy anymore. You're using all the static and dynamic resources as tools to tell that story. Less decoration, more intention.

This is hypocritical because I myself don't maintain a portfolio. But I am going through a list of 100 designers and only 3 have passable portfolios. I'm trying to find people to poach for a dream job, yet few stand out with excellent work. Update your websites people, you may have recruiters lurking...

The part they don't tell you about selling templates: Every once in a while, I'll hit a straight-up drought in sales, and I'm like... guess I'm done for. No more money ever again. Guess I gotta get a "real job" to pay the rent. ...then that random Stripe notif hits. 😅

How many websites or apps are redesigned because the people who work on it are bored of how it looks, and for no other reason?
