My Dad has ALS. He is an incredible artist and has talked to me about wanting to visit the Getty with me before he dies. With a 12hr notice I flew out to LA on Wednesday and took him. I parked him in front of Van Gogh's Lillies which he said was his favorite piece there.

@asallen I love art. I was just at the Getty, behold some of my faves. Any city I go to I try to hit their local museum even if its an hour before my flight out.

Why do Designers hate on Art so much?

I once played settlers of catan with a engineering contractor for the CA high speed rail project. I gently prodded him with questions about why it's so expensive and wasteful. He pushed back with effusive points of how they're doing 'important work for californians', making sure it's 'built responsibly'. I told him 'ok... but it would be kinda nice to have.. like... a real railroad with a real train for not so much money, right?' just before securing longest road and blocking his route to the 2:1 brick port.

Given the rapidly expanding cost of childcare, college, and the Trump admin threatening my fiancee's PSLF loan repayment program, we've sadly been asking ourselves if it's more realistic to have two.
