@barryswang @TorontoPearson Also, if a major thunderstorm parks over the airport early in the day, like it did on Saturday, it pushes airline schedules late for the rest of the day. A large storm sat over Pearson for 2+ hrs mid day Saturday, and various other storms throughout the evening.

@TorontoPearson Where the hell is thunderstorm? There was barely any and tons of flights get cancelled. The airline and the police in the airport are lying to passenger face, it is weather condition when the weather is perfectly fine most of the day.

@barryswang @TorontoPearson Thunderstorms don't need to be directly overhead an airport to cause problems. Even a thunderstorm 15-20 miles away from the airport cause massive disruption to arrival and departure routes. Aircraft avoid major weather for safety reasons.

@chels_virginia @TorontoPearson It's not the rain. When lightning is within a close proximity to the airport, ground staff have to remain indoors for safety. Aircraft are unable to get loaded and unloaded until lightning subsides.

It’s been a mixed bag of winter weather at Toronto Pearson this week; from cold weather to snow squalls and now fog. On days like today, air traffic controllers regularly assess visibility and adjust hourly arrival rates to maintain safe operations. Flights for the most part are departing and arriving on time.

@blogTO Terrifying?.? It was a cabin pressure issue. I think terrifying is a bit much. Literally as soon as you're at 10k feet or less, the emergency is over... You just have to land to fix the pressurization issue. Everything else is absolutely fine. Lol terrifying.

Frustrating! Delayed by 2.5h on our own @WestJet flight to @yvrairport because @navcanada is understaffed 😤. We would have been perfectly on time, now many guests will miss their connections. Shows again why we need a proper shared accountability system across the entire sector!
