Apple = bureaucracy. Unfortunately, that’s just how it is. A quick story. My friend’s wife (an English teacher) decided to build her first app. She had a working v1 in a month using Vibe coding. Didn’t like it, learned React Native, and rebuilt it herself. The app was supposed to launch in December, but Apple flagged it as medical and required an organization account. She quickly formed a company and submitted the paperwork to upgrade her account. 4 months later, still pending. She’s stuck in a loop, submitting the same documents over and over. The best part: when she started building the app, she found out she was pregnant. Now we joke that she’ll probably give birth before Apple does its job.

@cocktailpeanut Technically most LLMs are capable of generating SVGs which could be called images, if they only need to generate to be declared AGI. Doesn’t mean it produces aesthetically pleasing results, but generates yeah.

How can you call yourself AGI if you can't generate images? "General" means general. Input AND output. Both directions. If you can see but can't draw, you're not general. You're partial.

When I was 10, I loved playing video games on computer. So much that I wanted to make my own and play. Didn’t know how. One day, someone showed me the ‘edit’ command in cmd - felt like a real hacker move. I opened command prompt, entered edit, then started describing the game I wanted. In plain English. I saved it as a .exe file and wondered why it wouldn’t run. Today, kids can just open an LLM and describe their ideas in plain English and spin up their own games or programs as they wish. Sometimes I envy them so much.
