His name is Jack Deon Maloba, 23 years old. He was arrested and checked in at Kawangware police post, Nairobi on Thursday 11th December 2025 around 7pm in the evening. About 4 hours later, he was dead and taken to City Mortuary where the body was booked in at 10.50pm. Police say that Jack committed suicide by hanging himself using a shirt. Even a grade three can tell you that the marks on his neck are marks of a wire. His clothes are intact and that even leads to more questions. Where is the cloth being said he hanged himself with? Contrary to what the media is reporting, the rampage at Litein High wasn’t about a football match. In fact, students are allowed to watch football on weekends regardless of the time, and last weekend’s Arsenal vs. City game was no exception. They watched until the final whistle — it was only after the game that they went and disconnected the school’s power supply. The rampage was driven mainly by Form 3 students, backed by Form 2 students. Form 4s did not participate; in fact, they protected their classrooms from destruction. According to students, Sunday’s strike was a result of grievances from the previous strike being ignored, coupled with Principal Mr. Sang’s rude and abusive conduct. Mr. Sang has been shielding Mr. Mitei, blamed as the main cause of the earlier unrest, despite calls for TSC to act and possibly transfer him. When challenged, he arrogantly told students that Mr. Mitei was going nowhere. Since then, Sang has become overly strict and petty. After parents asked that corporal punishment be stopped, he resorted to suspensions even for minor mistakes that should have been resolved through dialogue. A few months ago, he collectively punished the entire Form 2 class for unclear reasons. Students began feeling fed up, and just last week they started planning a forced half-term — but the administration dismissed the warnings. Now, the students are demanding that Mr. Sang, Mr. Mitei, and the entire administration step aside, blaming them for the school’s declining performance.
