Finally back online after days of poor connection and isolation! The poor connectivity has been impacting our aid work in #Sudan. I hope the situation improves soon. Photo: internet speed 3 days ago. 📌 #Gedaref, Eastern Sudan.

Ppl on Twitter literally doing the work of UNHCR. What do you mean regular ppl arranging for accommodation at an INTERNATIONAL border, arranging for healthcare when ppl DISPLACED BY WAR cross a border, warning ppl to bring enough FOOD+WATER because none is available? @Refugees

Internet in #Sudan is down for most providers, and the ones working are patchy and will go down soon. Mostly because major telecom towers were damaged. I’m currently hotspotting from MTN but won’t have it for long. Losing internet in such circumstances is terrifying.

Thinking of the underprivileged who couldn't even afford basic necessities before this chaos, let alone have the privilege to even think of fleeing to neighbouring countries right now. Thats the reality of over half the population. May god be with every one of them

Every village & town we passed thru people would come out with their kerkade (hibiscus) juice and cold water for the “Khartoum travellers”. Humbling experience cause they don’t have much but were offering plenty. Why would I leave this?

A reminder that the military is not aiming to just control crowds, or stop the protests, they're aiming to terrorize the people into submission. How many gunshot wounds to the head have we recorded in the last 24 days? These people are shooting to kill. #SudanCoup #Nov17March

A reminder that Sudan is still under an internet blackout since October 25, imposed by the military as a way to limit flow of info both internally & out to the world. A reminder that this is a human rights violation. But we are still here. #SudanCoup #SudanBlackout #KeepItOn
