This is dumb. This is stupid. This is not fair to any of the talent working any of these shows. This strategy has made NXT appear so much less than it actually is because you keep putting them up against these AEW shows and no one is ever going to choose the other offering, ever.

@thesmartmark Why don’t wrestling fans want all wrestling viewership and attendance to be up? What do you gain personally for a wrestling company to succeed or languish commercially? Languishing gives you nothing. It endangers your beloved hobby. Succeeding is survival. Its growth. It’s jobs.

But people will still deny they aren’t in a decline 🤷🏽‍♂️ Now do the ratings… I’m sure someone will comment below with “But AEW…” Yeah… BUT AEW IS UP IN VIEWERSHIP IN 2026 AND ATTENDANCE SINCE 2024. Why is it so hard to comment on the reality? Is AEW anywhere near WWE in attendance? No way in the world. Is AEW a perfect product? No way in the world. But the fact remains, statistically the WWE has declined more in all metrics. #WWE #AEW

Damian Priest is an example of someone who WWE tried so hard to push, but couldn’t get over no matter how much they tried. Despite being a big part of the Judgment Day, winning several titles, being good friends with Rhea Ripley, and having a stint with Bad Bunny, nothing has worked. He is currently a WWE Tag Team Champion with R-Truth. Management is still trying to get him over, but fans mostly care about Truth and are not cheering for him. The problem? He has no character and little charisma. He’s best off as a heel because he looks the part for it. There’s never been a time where fans really want to cheer for Damian Priest, but there have been many times they want to boo him. While feuding with Gunther, his promos tried to get the fans to relate on a personal level, but it didn’t work. He still lost the title, and it doesn’t look like he'll get back there anytime soon. His prime has already come and gone. It feels more fitting that he would be putting guys over at this point in his career, instead of holding a title. But that’s just me... @WeWantTheory What much of the IWC defines as “good wrestling” is SF Turbo on 10 speed, 50/50 booking between main eventers and enhancement, for 20-35 minutes, in an ice cold build. Instead of guys teaching you who they are and then turning it up when it matters. I’ll take the latter, always.

Honestly, I’m not at all surprised that Santizap hates this segment. As much as I like his channel, he is unfortunately one of the marks who insists, "WWE is a wrestling company; give us good wrestling." No WWE is an entertainment company. They need to tell stories. Not good +++

@critman_critics Seriously. And I wish they’d not do every match for both genders. Maybe if there IS a blood feud with the women, they get a War Games, and the men do a traditional Survivor Series match. Or one or the other but not both.

It doesn’t have to go away just don’t do it every fucking year. HHH got rid of the HIAC ppv cause those matches shouldn’t be done just because it’s that time of the month, and should be reserved for feuds of that magnitude. Why can’t we apply that same logic to War Games?

@WWEGP The baffling thing about his explanation is that he made one. They should’ve made him angry enough to want nothing more than to kill Brock, but they sort of raced into the match instead of building up some heat. Not explaining it would’ve made it easier to move on.

The Oba vs Brock feud is one of the best rivalries WWE has put together in the last couple of years. BUT, having Oba say he gave up his title shot because Brock would have just ‘cost him anyway’ makes ZERO sense. Couldn’t Brock have cost him KOTR? Baffling booking

This is the charity show AEW put on, to raise money for victims of Gun Violence. A show that WWE / Evolve tried to counterprogram. The very first "counterprogram" show.

i love danny, but this is simply just a case of him getting leap frogged by people like kyle fletcher and kevin knight. he was given opportunities but it just didn’t work out for one reason or another. i think he’s in a good spot right now and he’s on TV weekly.

@GiftedMoney LOL wat. Minnesota rules in the summer. There are reasons why a two night stadium show in Minneapolis is not a great idea and that is not one of them.

I think, at the end of the day, I’m fine with them doing 2 night events for Summerslam and Wrestlemania. But you gotta weigh the site fees. Just because a city pays the most doesn’t mean that’s where you should go because who in the fuck wants to go to Minnesota during the summer? Creative is definitely a factor but ticket prices and better site selection gotta be priorities moving forward
