@ElijahC77761 @iluminatibot No one said anything about killing someone for not complying. The statement referred to a broken window and an arrest due to noncompliance. Even in a free country, people are still required to follow the law, and there are consequences when they do not.

It’s not a cultural issue; it’s about acclimation. People become accustomed to the climate they live in. In Europe, most regions experience relatively similar weather patterns, so people tend to share similar expectations of temperature.
In contrast, the United States has a much wider range of climates. Within just a few hours of travel, temperatures can vary from freezing to extremely hot. Some people live in consistently cold areas, while others are used to much warmer environments.
Because of this, someone from a hot region may find air conditioning uncomfortably cold, while someone from a colder place, like Maine, might find the same temperature perfectly comfortable. It all comes down to what you’re used to.

As long as tipping remains a strong cultural expectation, restaurants have little incentive to pay servers a full minimum wage. The frustrating part is that customers aren’t seeing lower menu prices as a result—businesses often just keep the savings. In some states, servers already earn full minimum wage before tips, which raises an important question: why are we still tipping the same way everywhere?
Most people don’t receive tips for simply doing their jobs, so why is this standard in restaurants? Tipping makes sense when workers rely on it to reach minimum wage, but does it still make sense to tip 20%, 30%, or even 40%—especially when some servers report making $40 an hour or more? It’s worth reconsidering what tipping is meant to accomplish and whether the current expectations still make sense.

@jackunheard What she actually means is it’s hard to find workers to work for below standard wages. Legal immigrants can work anywhere with better conditions and pay. That’s why she can’t find anyone to work.

NEW: Idaho farmer complains about struggling to find field workers following stricter immigration enforcement.
She admits it’s nearly impossible to find legal American workers willing to do the demanding work.
Try paying a decent wage and people would love to work for you.
Farmers who built their businesses on illegal cheap labor are now paying the price, and they should.

I think one of the reasons they are deleting it is that many women who were previously anti-child and didn’t want to have children are now saying how adorable the little girl in the game is. Some are even saying it’s making them consider having children. Whether that’s a coincidence or not, I don’t know.
