Do not fear. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your path.

Why are cradle Catholics so poorly catechized? Where is their passion for Christ. He is our all, our hope, our literal salvation. Try Fr. Mikes Bible in a Year. Learn your faith. Christ is coming back.

Thank you to new followers. I never want to take for granted this platform to Christ’s love and how He set me free. May I always point souls to Him. Christ is indeed King.

Well worth the read. She explains the act of confession in a most systematic coherent manner.

I’m so thankful that you’ve given me this opportunity to shed this light on your opinion for you, sir! So anyway, No Catholic believes a priest replaces Jesus. That is a straw man. Christ alone is the Savior, but the same Christ said to the apostles, ‘Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them’ (John 20:23). So the real question is not whether man can replace Jesus. He cannot. The question is whether Jesus can use human ministers. Scripture says yes. 1. False dilemma. Your argument pretends there are only two options: either Jesus forgives sins directly, or a priest replaces Him. Catholicism teaches neither rivalry nor replacement. Christ alone forgives; the priest is His instrument. 2. John 14:6 does not disprove Confession. It supports it. “No one comes to the Father except through Me” means every act of grace comes through Christ. In Confession, Catholics do not go around Jesus to reach a priest. They go to Jesus through the sacrament Jesus gave His Church. 3. Jesus explicitly gave the apostles authority over sins. In John 20:22–23, the risen Christ says: “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” That is not a man stealing Christ’s role. That is Christ delegating His authority. 4. A priest does not take Jesus’ place the way the objection claims. A priest is not a second redeemer. He did not die for your sins. He does not invent forgiveness. He applies Christ’s forgiveness as a minister acting in Christ’s name. 5. Scripture is full of Christ working through human beings. By this anti-Catholic logic, no one should preach, baptize, pastor, or teach either. But Jesus sends men to do all of those things. Christ uses human instruments without being displaced by them. 6. The Bible itself uses representative authority. St. Paul says, “We are ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20). An ambassador does not replace the king; he speaks with the king’s authority because he was sent. That is how Catholic priests function in sacramental ministry. 7. The objection confuses “source” with “instrument.” Jesus is the source of forgiveness. The priest is the instrument. Those are not the same thing. Saying “only Jesus saves” is true. But it does not mean Jesus cannot use means He Himself established. 8. Confession actually magnifies Christ’s authority. The sacrament does not glorify man. It glorifies the power of Christ, who not only forgives sin, but gave His Church authority to proclaim and apply that forgiveness visibly and sacramentally. 9. The priest’s words are Christ-centered, not priest-centered. The priest says, “I absolve you… in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” The whole act is explicitly rooted in God’s authority, not the priest’s private power. 10. Candidly, Your objection sounds pious, but it collapses under Scripture. Catholics do not put a man in Jesus’ place. We believe Jesus, who alone saves, chose to forgive through the ministry He Himself established. Rejecting Confession is not defending Christ’s authority. It is denying the authority Christ gave.

As I rise from sleep I thank You, O Holy Trinity, for through Your great goodness and patience You were not angered with me, an idler and sinner, nor have You destroyed me in my sins, but have shown Your usual love for men, and when I was prostrate in despair, You raised me to keep the morning watch and to glorify Your power. And now enlighten my mind’s eye and open my mouth to study Your words and understand Your commandments and do Your will and sing to You in heartfelt adoration and praise Your Most Holy Name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen. St Basil the Great, 330–379 AD

Judeo-Christian is not a thing. It is like saying hey look at the square circle. The Jews believe Christ is burning in hell. Why do we support this blasphemous madness??? @calvinrobinson am I wrong?

@POTUS @GOP I voted for you. I voted for America First. But we will lose the midterms. The cost of living is not sustainable. Israel is not our friend. And Iran poses no imminent threat. It’s not too late to course correct.

@JodyChaseTN They’re just smart enough. But Candace has the receipts. And they’re scared. They thought they’d tire her out with the full force attacks against her. But as with any truth teller, this has only strengthened her resolve. Go MaX @RealCandaceO

If Turning Point USA isn’t involved in a cover-up, then why haven’t they sued Candace Owens for defamation? Is it because they’d have to hand over everything through discovery—text messages, camera footage, hard drives, etc.? They’re not that dumb.

Even Grok know. **Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church.** According to Catholic teaching and the historical record, the Catholic Church (from the Greek *katholikos*, meaning “universal”) was established by **Jesus Christ** during His public ministry in the 1st century AD. Key elements include: ### Biblical Foundation - Jesus gathered the Apostles and entrusted them with His mission. - The pivotal moment is recorded in the Gospel of Matthew (16:18-19), where Jesus tells Simon (whom He renames **Peter**, meaning “rock”): > “You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven…” This is understood as Christ founding a visible, hierarchical Church with Peter as its visible head (the first Pope). - After His Resurrection, Jesus commissions the Apostles (Matthew 28:18-20; John 20:21-23), giving them authority to teach, baptize, forgive sins, and celebrate the Eucharist. - The Church began publicly at **Pentecost** (Acts 2), when the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles, enabling them to preach the Gospel starting in Jerusalem. ### Historical Continuity - The early Christian community in Rome, led by Peter (who was martyred there around 64-67 AD) and then by his successors (Linus, Anacletus, Clement, etc.), is the direct origin of what became known as the Catholic Church. - By the late 1st and early 2nd centuries, writers like St. Ignatius of Antioch (c. 107 AD) already used the term “Catholic Church” to describe the universal body of believers united under the bishops in apostolic succession. - The Church sees an unbroken line of apostolic succession from the Apostles to today’s bishops and popes. ### Common Clarifications - The Church is not considered “founded” by any later figure (e.g., not by Emperor Constantine in the 4th century, who legalized Christianity but did not create its structure or doctrine). - While the **Protestant Reformation** (16th century) led to various Protestant communities breaking away, and the **Eastern Orthodox** split formally in 1054, the Catholic Church maintains it is the original Church founded by Christ that has preserved the fullness of the faith and apostolic authority. In summary, Catholics believe the founder is **Jesus Christ Himself**, with St. Peter as the first leader of the Church on earth. This is both a matter of faith and rooted in the New Testament and early Church history.

My story as well. As a life long evangelical in the tradition of Jimmy Swaggart and Jerry Falwell, a something never quite sat right. I thought I was the problem. That I was rebelling against the Holy Spirit. Fast forward in college as a music major I began to cantor at the largest Catholic parish in town. And that was the beginning of the end for me. I started asking hard questions, reading, and remember thinking “the Bible only makes sense in the context of the Catholic Church. I came into the church 5 years later. Thanks be to God.
