@Polymarket Capital gains should be taxed at the same rate as income. Doing otherwise favors the wealthy over the working class. Common sense.

An inherent flaw in Common Core is that it blends math thinking with language arts acquisition.  Look at the problem below. We are not simply determining a student's math prowess with this question;  we are requiring a certain level of reading and writing prowess.   I can think of a better way to pose the question and still get to the heart of whether students understand fractional parts. POTUS is laying out two courses of action—a negotiated settlement, or a major escalation. There is a third option, and he should take it: recognize there is no way to force a positive outcome and simply leave. The region is not ours to fix. President Reagan chose this path in Lebanon in ‘84, withdrawing U.S. forces after the Beirut barracks bombing once it became clear the mission’s stabilization goals could not be met, effectively ending direct American military involvement and avoiding a deeper quagmire and long-term entrenchment in the region. A negotiated settlement is unlikely to work or be taken seriously by the Iranians unless we make concessions on the enrichment issue. As we saw yesterday in the SOH, the IRGC is empowered to act without the consent of the civilian leadership, so it’s likely they won’t honor any deal reached. A major escalation will lead to a very destructive outcome for Iran, the region, and eventually the U.S. If POTUS chooses brute force and targets civilian infrastructure, we will create another generation of radicalized Iranians who will rally around the regime and escalate the war by any means possible. If POTUS opts to strike the civilian infrastructure, declare victory, and then leave, we will only further erode our standing in the world, the petrodollar, and eventually our status as the world’s reserve currency holder. We need to get out now. Don’t double down on failure. Avoid the sunken cost trap, leave now, and put America’s interests first.

@elonmusk Instead of HIGH INCOME UBI…wouldn’t robots and AI drive production cost down so items become much, much cheaper. No need for much money to live well.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@unusual_whales @solukie That’s not the problem. The problem is the US government spent 100% of all of the social security dollars collected. Fixed it for you.

Murray: Is it true that people making under $184k pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate? Dahl: Yes Murray: And the rate for someone making $1 million? Dahl: 2.2% Murray: So, a 12.4% tax for people making less than $184k, but 2.2% for a millionaire or .0002% for billionaires.

Terrifying warning. A US General confirms that deploying the 82nd Airborne is just an "opening gambit" to seize terrain. He warns that Iran's massive size and geography mean the US is preparing to put a catastrophic number of forces on the ground. WW3 is here.

We are headed for a full-blown financial crisis. February import prices spiked 1.3% while export prices surged 1.5%, annualizing to inflation rates of 16.8%–19.6%. That's before oil rose 50%. Unless the Fed raises rates several hundred basis points now, inflation will skyrocket.

Energy industry insider in Iran tells me the following, and it is STUNNING: Before the war, Iran produced just shy of 1.1mn barrels of oil per day, and sold it at $65 per barrel minus $18 discount (i.e. $47) Today, it produces 1.5mn barrels a day, and sells it at $110 with only $2-4 discount. And this does not include petrochemical sales that not only have increased, but are now being sold to a larger set of customers compared to before the war. Moreover, Iran is receiving payments through new mechanisms that bypass the UAE, which were set up after the June war. In essence, and this is really important to understand, Trump and Israel's war has ended up delivering Iran de facto sanctions relief. This means that Iran is all the less incentivized to end the war, unless the agreement provides Iran with formal sanctions relief.

I am for bringing the American Empire home; closing all the foreign bases; withdrawing from NATO and all other pointless alliances; dry-docking all the aircraft carriers; grounding all the airlift and amphibious landing capabilities; staying out of other people's business the world over; and maintaining an invincible nuclear deterrent and a Fortress America defense of our coastlines and airspace. That's it. We would be perfectly safe. Could cut the defense budget by $500 billion and end the Forever Wars once and for all.

Aviation Is Still the Target The idea that we can roll airport security back to the 1990s is delusional. Those days are long over, and they are NOT coming back. Terrorists are not thinking small, they are actively trying to one up 9/11, and that means using civilian aircraft in a spectacular, mass-casualty attack. This is not just about capability, it is about legacy. Four of Osama bin Laden’s sons are actively working on U.S. homeland plotting. This is not speculation, it is reality. Their objective is twofold: honor their father and cement their place as leaders of the next generation of the international terrorism movement. That is where the Bojinka plot comes in. This is not just a failed past operation, it is something they view as unfinished business like how al-Qaeda came back at the World Trade Center a second time. There is a clear intent to bring elements of it to fruition as a way of honoring bin Laden’s vision while elevating their own legacy. The next aviation plot is built off that foundation, updated for today, and designed for scale, coordination, and maximum impact. And while that threat is actively evolving, people are complaining about having to scan their carry-ons. When suicide bombers are practicing blowing up in their seats. Not at all the same mentality. Come back to reality. Aviation remains one of the most targeted sectors because of the scale of impact it offers. Security and the deterrence it creates are not an inconvenience, it is a direct response to an active and persistent threat. If you are unaware of the current aviation plot and how it is being adapted today, watch my recent video. 👇 youtu.be/aB2sRO9xY3E?si…
