Insights from the 2024 FinAccess Household Survey reveals the usage of the Hustler Fund, with 28.9% of the population (approximately 8.1 million people) utilising the fund. Business owners and casual workers are the primary users, with men leading at 31.8% (4.3 million) compared to women at 26.1% (3.7 million). The survey also highlights that the highest uptake occurs among individuals aged 26-35 years (39.4%, or 3.1 million), while the lowest usage is found in those over 55 years (11.2%, or 0.4 million). In terms of residence, urban areas show the highest participation, with 35.4% (2.0 million) of users from these regions. The EACC is reminding the people of Kenya that the conflict of interests Senate Amendments are trying to incapacitate the EACC's ability to fight corruption. The law in Kenya still gives the commission power to prosecute anyone for conflict. As the Senate, we voted for this law to reduce the commission's power to prosecute anyone for the conflicts of interest. Let me nurse my hangover first, I’ll find time to defend the law will allow me, my wife, my sidechick, my girlfriends, my children, my baby mama, my mama, and papa to do business with the government and to use my influence in power to ensure they have an advantage over other Kenyans doing bussiness with the government.
