@jeffgadsden Oh, unsure pain trajectories and block duration were mentioned specifically. We need to think about this BEFORE we block it, & use either a single shot, or add an adjunct, or in US/EU use a liposomal LA, or insert a catheter to target the anticipated peak of pain + multimodal 😉

Yep. Enough said. Block = analgesia for cut nerves. The rest is Anaesthesia for unconsciousness and prevention of recall. Together = safe and satisfied patient.

They’re not QUITE enough IMHO as surgical block, but with prop TIVA & LMA, it’s fab! Easy & safe. 🙌

However, you don’t need to! If you just place local on either side of the artery, you’ll get excellent results. #Blocktober24
