Our Act 10 reforms saved more than $31 million since we signed it into law on this date years ago. More than savings, however, these reforms transferred power from the big government special interests to the hard-working taxpayers - and specifically to the people they elect to the run their local and state governments.
Now, school, local, and state government officials can staff based on merit and pay based on performance. That means we can put the best and the brightest in the classroom and other key locations and keep them there to excel. School, local, and state governments still benefit from these reforms today - as do the taxpayers of Wisconsin.

Brad is one of the best people I've been fortunate to know in politics. Sad to see the process turn out this way.
He would be confirmed by the Senate if we didn't rely on broken commissions to do what the president has the sole power to do - nominate qualified people like Brad.

The state’s 4 legislative leaders are sharing the stage today, addressing the counties association. Speaker Robin Vos on housing notes his first home cost $65k. He says “less DoorDash and more saving” would help, but it’s a real problem starter homes now cost closer to $400k

New: Wisconsin Supreme Court says it will livestream oral arguments to support transparency. This comes as GOP lawmakers want to ban members of the public from recording legislative hearings inside the Capitol.

Police should not be showing up at people's homes for things they post on social media, especially when they aren't threatening. It is inappropriate for government entities, whether it's a school district or law enforcement, to intimidate individuals into not speaking.

As a MMSD alum who was in school for many protests like this one, I can guarantee more than half of these students only did this to cut class.
I’m glad to see the majority of the students did stay in the classrooms to learn.
