Lol. When given a choice for the first time, large numbers of public employees dropped their union membership. @TheOtherMandela's plan is to just force them to join unions again. Fortunately, since Act 10 was passed, SCOTUS has recognized public emplyoees have a constitutional right to refuse to join or financially support any union. All Barnes' proposal would do is massively increase spending and property taxes.

Wisconsin has experienced the biggest drop-off in union memberships of any state, and it's not even close. It's time to repeal Act 10 and make Wisconsin a union state again.

In the early 1990s the Wisconsin Constitition was amended to provide that “the legislature may not authorize gambling in any form.” Wis. Const. Art. IV, Sec. 24. This legislation purports to authorize a form of gambling (namely, placing a “bet” from your phone anywhere in Wisconsin) which is currently illegal (and thus, not authorized) in Wisconsin. It’s unconstitutional for that reason.

This rule never went into effect. The Biden Admin surely could have changed that, but for some reason, they set the effective date of Oct. 1, 2026. The rule was blocked in July 2025 by a federal court. I'm not sure even the Biden Folx supported this ridiculous rule

Fifteen years ago this St. Paddy's Day, @WILawLiberty was founded. For the first week or so of operation, the @BradleyFdn gave us a couple of desks in the basement until our space was available. For a number of years, we officed two doors down in the Bloodgood House which, as real estate agents say, was in need of updates and TLC. For almost seven years, we were in the Kilbourn Towers. Now we have come full circle and occupy the entire Lion House. The Lions will still dress for Christmas.
