@AD0HJ @KO4AQF_Brian @KD8ATF @AMSAT @KE0PBR @glasbrenner I’m getting the itch to get back on.., and I think RJ has roved more grids than me 😂

@KO4AQF_Brian @KD8ATF @AMSAT @KE0PBR @glasbrenner Nice presentation Brian! You got me all nostalgic for the good old (ADØ)² Awards era now after reading through your slides. They could still come back right? @ad0dx
English

I guess I have been voluntold to do a presentation on amateur satellite communication at ARRL WV state convention! Are there publicly available slides how's available? If I remember correctly @AMSAT used to have stuff available for a booth setup. Is that still the case
English

@ad0dx @rtlsdrblog @AD0HJ Unfortunately, my picoballoons tend to fall out of the sky without any assistance from an F-22.

@KE4ALabama @KE9AJ @K7TABravo @n7egy1 @N7AGF @K0FFY_Radio @F4DXV @ad0dx and others for roving around and making it possible. Safe travel to #AMSAT rovers! A lot of grids to chasers,73!🛰️

@ad0dx Thanks pal. Some water where it’s not supposed to be, but luckily not a lot of damage

Hey everyone - we did it!!! Huge thanks to Ray @KN2K1 for new grid square FM26 (488/488) on the 1248Z FO-29 pass. It took me a total of 1606 days to complete the @AMSAT Gridmaster award. Big thanks to a great community for all the fun, roving, and adventure! 😊 #amsat #gridmaster

@DizzyShirb @kylee_ke0wpa @randy_ND0C Those AO-7 passes are kinda long with all that gear standing up, wish I would have thought of that 😄👍🚀
English

Laziness or ingenuity on @kylee_ke0wpa's part? I'll let you be the judge. First attempt at a 3 or 4-handed AO-7 pass without the assistance of @randy_ND0C. 😉

English

@K3TripleR It’s about the same here in Tucson… get those outdoor things done early 😄
English

@supercazzola @K7TABravo Thanks Kevin, I need to think about something similar for my backyard after I get my vertical finished
English

@ad0dx @K7TABravo I’d say the dipole is about 30 feet up, give or take a few feet. I enjoy it better only because it can handle 500 watts since any matching unit is by the radio/amp. On my vertical, i have a matching tuner at the base and it’s limited to 150w

English

Setting up my Butternut HF9V to get back on HF from Tucson… stopped working at 11am when it got to 95F @K7TABravo

English

@supercazzola @K7TABravo Thanks Kevin, how high up is your dipole? Sounds like you prefer the dipole to the vertical
English

@ad0dx @K7TABravo ah, sorry. I just have the DX engineering ground plane plate, not the antenna. I have a vertical that was gifted to me from a friend. One day, I'll upgrade. But I mostly use it to compare to my Alpha Delta fan dipole, which has always been a great performer.
