⚠️ Humanitarian Aid to Suwayda – The Gap Between Needs and Reality A new report (Alma Center) reveals that despite the opening of humanitarian convoys into #Suwayda since mid-July 2025, the quantities of aid reaching civilians are far from sufficient: 🔹 Water crisis – only ~20% of daily needs are supplied. The rest depends on costly private wells. 🔹 Aid convoys – between July 20–27, 28 convoys entered with food, medicine, fuel & flour. Around 320 trucks daily, but still not enough for 650k residents. 🔹 Damascus–Suwayda highway reopened on Aug 28, allowing larger shipments (~140 trucks), yet shortages remain critical. 🔹 Main problem – logistical gaps and deliberate restrictions by Syrian regime forces controlling the roads. 📌 Bottom line: while humanitarian aid is flowing, it does not meet the real needs of Suwayda’s population, leaving residents facing acute shortages in water, food, and medicine. #Suwayda #HumanitarianCorridor #Syria

The Syrian Minister of Health and the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor were part of the convoy that Hikmat al-Hijri prevented from entering to suwayda, simply because they were representatives of the Syrian government.
