@greg_price11 @BillAckman A Muslim extremist flew a plane into American buildings killing Americans. That caused 9-11. A collection of extremist terrorists. Sad state of affairs in NYC.

Mamdani-endorsed Aber Kwas won the Democrat Primary tonight for a State Senate seat in New York. Here she is saying that 9-11 was America's fault because of our "system of capitalism, racism, white supremacy and islamophobia."

Dear @1Password I love your software but this is not helpful - every time it type escape to see the dropdown I actually want to interact with everything is dismissed. Heads up - bad ux, how do I disable this on forms that are actually trying to help me?

@virattt Is this net new or just the same way Quant teams worked in Investment banking? I had a few friends that left Morgan Stanley to join a team like this at Goldman in 2014. Same game, diff tools.

I’m seeing a new trend in hedge funds. Small dedicated pods (2-3 humans) run agent swarms for research and idea gen. Setup mirrors SWE flow: One human analyst manages multiple agents and lets them run. Agents then report back to human who picks top ideas and deepens them. This cycle compresses all “top of funnel” work and saves 3-4 hours minimum per day. Nobody is trading on them. Yet.

@brianonorio @dogwoodblooms When I lived in Brooklyn, I'd drive down at Christmas and bring 10s of pounds back to pack my freezer so I could survive long stints of northeastern strandedness.

@brianonorio Thinking something like this to break up these two rooms (my office and a room we call receiving/wine room) I feel these mid century wall dividers maybe a nice touch

In an effort to become more handy than I am, I spent way too much money on power tools to do this.

I challenge everyone to code by hand for 8+ hours a day for a week: 1. no coding agents: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor 2. no GPT/Claude, or any AI model If you survive, you are a true warrior.

@dharmesh What's your plan @dharmesh are you a custom harness guy? Straight CLI+Cmux/Tmux? I find the value of my unix skills paying dividends in this third age of computing (or is it fourth?).

The harness matters more than the model. Models have gotten really good. Great reasoning, large context windows, better instruction following. But, what makes *use* of those capabilities is actually the harness. It's what provides tools, memory, skills and context to the model. ChatGPT is a harness. Claude Cowork is a harness. Without the harness, the model is just an engine with no car. You don't get anywhere.

No matter what kind of company you are...start making your internal company data legible to AI. Today. As a founder, you are essentially building two versions of your company: the one humans work in and the digital twin that AI agents navigate to do the heavy lifting for you.

I met an Israeli Jewish man in Kobe who married a Japanese women 30 years ago. He owned a same shop for decades. He told me over many drinks and a wonderful sake tasting lesson that he will never be Japanese, as he is not a man from a place in Japan with ancestry from that place. He said this is the way of Nipon.
