The sea was angry that day, my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli... - George Costanza

I don’t think any of the teams left in the East can beat any of the teams left in the West in the Finals.

The Nuggets are in a tough spot. Aaron Gordon hasn’t been durable. Christian Braun has a bad contract. Cam Johnson is a shrinking violet. Tim Hardaway isn’t a playoff player. Peyton Watson is a free agent. David Adelman isn’t the leader that Michael Malone was. They have limited assets: No young players with value, the 26th pick this year, and pick swaps. That’s really it. Jamal Murray had the best regular season of his career and Nikola Jokic received MVP votes. But they were both so bad during the playoffs. Jokic and Murray falling short in the playoffs again, plus the lack of impactful moves that can be made to improve the roster, naturally has to raise serious questions about how open the contention window really is for Denver.
