@AdamPage85 We saw it this morning. Loved the game approach to Bowsers Palace. And our kids thought it was great.

A movie unconcerned with character development and meaningful dialogue, is also unconcerned with lecturing, making Oscar casting requirements, making women look invincible, and being gay with gay characters. This movie was an absolute blast. Nonstop action, never-ending easter eggs and I laughed out loud twice. My kids loved it. And that's the point.

@JoshDaws Man, our oldest is about to be 11, but his favorite thing to do on trips is get up early and go walk around the boat, hotel, resort, or wherever together. This one got me.

Feeling this so much with our oldest, who is 17. The other night, I was shutting things down for bed around 9:30, and he came downstairs and asked if I wanted to watch a movie. I know those asks will be less frequent, so I said sure and pushed my bedtime back two hours. Worth it.

It is not decent to twist scripture to lead others to hell. It is not decent to claim whiteness itself is like a virus. It is not decent to use Christ’s conception as a justification for abortion. I am glad to support HB 570 and SB 738, two bills in the Tennessee legislature that would protect every preborn child in Tennessee from abortion by providing preborn children with equal protection of the laws. By protecting the lives of preborn children with the same laws that protect people who are born, we are simply loving our neighbors in the womb as ourselves. Tennessee now has the opportunity to set an example of how states can protect the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. I am urging the Tennessee legislature to move these bills forward this legislative session. It’s both pro-life and consistent!

Every flourishing and enduring society has understood that marriage stands as the most basic institution of civilization. Redefining marriage undermines the very institution that God ordained for the raising and nurturing of children. Children need both a father and a mother. That is why I am glad to stand with the #GreaterThan campaign because what is ultimately at stake is nothing less than the care, protection, and future of our children. Disrupting a church’s worship service to make a political point is disgraceful. Targeting a Southern Baptist church in Minneapolis crosses a clear line, and I stand fully with the church and its members who simply came to worship Jesus in peace. Southern Baptists, let’s pray for and stand with Cities Church. Public officials should investigate whether civil rights were violated and ensure the freedom to worship is protected.

@howertonjosh Love this week as a pastor. It is a great opportunity to have your family serve with you. My fifth grader asks how many services he “gets” to come help with. We also can have opportunities for a good amount of time off the next week to spend with family.

Insider-baseball to church staff members on Christmas Week: There can be a temptation (especially if your church has lots of extra Christmas services) for church staff to be a little discouraged and wish they were home this week. I can't encourage you strongly enough to reject that with all your heart. In addition to the high honor that the Lord chose you "for such a time as this" to be on the field this week, there will come a day for most of us when we are old and crusty and at home drooling on ourselves in rocking chairs Christmas week (hyperbole, don't freak out about ageism or something please). And I have a feeling that when that day comes, we'd give anything to come to back and pour everything we had out on a week like this one more time. All gas, no brakes for the glory of God, the joy of the world, and the salvation of the nations this week.

@hunterbaker We did that a couple years ago, it was a lot of fun. Statue of Liberty was great (but cold). Freedom Tower was an incredible view. We used the subway to go between Times Square and all our destinations. I can try to find the name of the restaurants, we had some really good ones.

I'm taking my daughter to NYC tomorrow for a Monday thru Thursday trip. We fly into LGA. Our hotel is on Times Square. I need all advice. We have planned almost nothing!!! Transportation advice, activity advice, food advice, anything and everything please. This is a big deal. We've never done this as tourism.
