@mattpocockuk I tried this with another dataset, my issue is when the number of files exceeded 2000, the cost of ingestion shoots up (using near sota models), or it ends up duplicating new files (using local LLM)

I’m launching better-drizzle. Drizzle ORM is great when you want SQL-first, type-safe control. But in every real app I kept rewriting the same glue: pagination, includes, nested filters, exists/count helpers, hooks, soft delete, timestamps, upserts... better-drizzle wraps your existing Drizzle client and gives every table a small typed repository API — without codegen, without replacing Drizzle, and without giving up raw SQL when you need it. @VikParuchuri How does it compare with the new Paddle OCR?

Our main goal was to shrink model size while improving multilingual accuracy (matching Surya 1). We got vocab size down to ~65k, and even managed to make certain languages/document types more efficient. Constant compute means fewer rare character/sequence errors.

Surya 2, which has 650M params and scores 83.3% on olmocr, is the most accurate small OCR model. One reason why is character tokenization. Constant compute over chars improves accuracy and model size.
