Today’s important telephone call led by President Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump with the leaders of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Egypt, the UAE, and Jordan marks a significant step closer toward the shared objective of regional peace, stability, and an early diplomatic outcome, InshaAllah. We commend President Trump’s leadership and commitment to dialogue and diplomacy, alongside Vice President J.D. Vance @VP, Secretary of State Marco Rubio @SecRubio, and the entire U.S. team @SteveWitkoff @JaredKushner, whose sustained engagement helped achieve meaningful progress in the ongoing negotiations. We appreciate and are thankful for the constructive engagement of the Iranian leadership, including President Masoud Pezeshkian @DrPezeshkian, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi @araghchi, and Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf @mb_ghalibaf, in support of advancing these peace efforts. I also extend sincere appreciation to UN Secretary General @AntonioGuterres, our brotherly regional partners and all other countries, with whom I remained closely engaged throughout this process, since 28 February, including Saudi Arabia @FaisalbinFarhan, Türkiye @HakanFidan, Egypt (FM Badr Abdelatty), Qatar @MBA_AlThani_ and others, whose constructive engagement and support contributed meaningfully to this final outcome. I particularly commend Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to peace, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who has played a central role throughout this sensitive and consequential process and also represented Pakistan in today’s discussions. I also acknowledge the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan @ForeignOfficePk for its steady diplomatic engagement and continued support throughout these efforts. Pakistan remains firmly committed to supporting all sincere efforts aimed at lasting peace, mutual respect, and regional stability. The achievements of these negotiations offer grounds for optimism that a positive and durable outcome is within reach InshaAllah. Dialogue and diplomacy must prevail over conflict and confrontation for the collective prosperity and security of our region and beyond.
