When describing a startup it's usually better to use verbs rather than nouns. Say what you do rather than what you are. Not because it sounds more dynamic, but simply because it's clearer.

The nice thing about wood heat is that you get 7x the heat!! 1 - felling the tree 2 - cutting into logs 3 & 4 - splitting the logs 5 - hauling the splits 6 - stacking just nice 7 - making a fire 🔥 ery time I get close to that wood pile I get a sweat going!! Nothing better than coffee over a fire as the forest wakes up.

Country music’s biggest night was so fun!! It was so nice to see everyone dressed up so lovely and having a good time. Congratulations to all of the nominees and award winners, on the split sheets and behind the scenes making it happen, and on the long hard ride to Nashville. “Three chords and truth” has a special place in my heart, having grown up in North Carolina and country music being one of the sound tracks of life. Bravo to Stephen Wilson Jr. for an absolutely incredible performance of Stand By Me…standing ovation was well deserved. Many thanks again to Chuck McDowell & Jo Ellen Drennon McDowell for having us.

Behold! The time has come. Zoe picked up a few new ornaments (computer and tractor for me and bejazzled bug for her) and stockings for Ripley and Fezzik. We also like to collect holiday decorations of all stripes when we travel so it’s fun to pull them back out and laugh through of acquisition of each 🎄🎄🎄

It’s my favorite to wake up to a cool misty fall forest. The heavy rain cleaned everything last night and colors smell just right. A day late super moon shines on as the woods awaken.

A big red oak tree fell late last year deep in the forest. We were able to cut it and drag the logs to where I could get them on the trailer. Of course, I got 4 of the 5 on the trailer ok but on the final lift my skid decided to rest..I think I blew a hose or a valve for the boom and grapple to lift/tilt up. And this trailer is what I’d use to take the skid into to see the doctor…but theyll have to make a house call. Thankfully it’s on a level and easily accessible area to repair. These logs will be milled and will have to sit for a year or two to dry..should be a fair amount of lumber once it’s all done.
