👋 Today's my first day at @Meta as a Senior Director of Product Design. 🛠 I'm super excited to help build Origami and design tools. 💙 I've been itching to work on creative tools again and couldn't be more excited about the road ahead.

I went to a retreat this week but unfortunately I'm having 1 of those everything-goes-wrong weeks. From migraines to that-time-of-the-month woes, to heat exhaustion, to running out of my mental health meds (since I wasn't able to get my appt before the trip). I've been hermiting.

i didn't go in to work today because i had prolonged direct contact with someone who tested positive the day after. this is what i got from my boss after letting him know. is this my sign to quit?

I go to a local cafe daily to work, and there is one guy who does the same thing, and we sit next to each other near the outlets and he takes lots of calls and now I'm super invested in his startup drama.

@lilithlwm A good brief (or memo) is the way to go! We favor written docs over decks unless it’s a special presentation to a large group.

It's crazy to me that slide decks became the default way to communicate business-critical information. So much wasted energy/time spent compiling them, and so many crucial nuances lost in favor of "uncrowded, digestible slides". Written memos make so much more sense.
