ASSAM RIFLES FELICITATES NEWLY COMMISSIONED OFFICER FROM MANIPUR #AssamRifles organised a felicitation ceremony at Sector Headquarters, Churachandpur, to honour Lieutenant Obed Thangminsiam on his commissioning into the Indian Army. A resident of Hiangzou village in Churachandpur district, the young officer was commissioned into the prestigious 10 Guards on 07 March 2026 after completing his training at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai. As I stepped into my changing room to dress up for a dinner, I see my uniform ready to be worn one last time tomorrow. Got emotional and had tears in eyes. Took good five minutes to compose myself and said to myself “I played well” Grateful to God, friends and family 🙏🙏
