agree on all points, but i think the term "ai music" is a bit too black and white. a good chunk of ai music is gonna be closer to "ai-assisted" -- i.e the human adds input beyond just spamming a prompt box. the human also needs to brand the music well. so yeah while the grammies are gonna have a separate category for ai, it's probably just for entirely ai artists, not for ai-assisted stuff (since that would be everyone, lol).

predictions for music— in 10 years: - half or more of the spotify catalog will be entirely ai generated. - half or more of the top 50 songs consumed will be also be entirely ai generated. - you will have playlists created & tailored for you on demand with ai music (a la an ai discover weekly)—it’ll be for every genre of music. - an ai album will win album of the year grammy & many more awards. there will be separate categories created for ai. humans will feel deeply uncomfortable but will accept it because the creativity, scale, & variance of ai music will be unmatched.
