As Shavuot begins, we commemorate the giving of the Torah to the Jewish people. We are reminded that the Jewish people are diverse, and even with all our unique differences, we are one nation - Am Yisrael. We wish all who celebrate a safe and meaningful holiday. Shavuot Sameach🌾

Yesterday, @SesameStreet posted in honor of #JewishAmericanHeritageMonth. It was a simple, respectful and much-appreciated post. Yet if you look at their Instagram feed, you'll notice something unique: the comment section is turned off. Why? Because it was flooded with vile antisemitism. People flocked to an account known for spreading kindness just to express anti-Jewish hatred. This is not ok. Antisemitism on social media normalizes anti-Jewish hate online and offline and contributes to an increasingly threatening environment for Jewish people everywhere.

ADL has been leading the charge for policies that translate rising antisemitism into real protections for Jewish communities. @JakeTapper cites ADL's 2025 Audit, which documented 203 assaults (the highest since ADL began tracking in 1979) and three murders in conversation with @SenJackyRosen on her new bipartisan Jewish American Security Act. The bill would invest $1 billion in security, strengthen Title VI protections and require social media transparency.

It is past time that Hamas is made to face the crimes it has committed and continues to commit against both the Palestinian and Israeli people. The ICC prosecutor must demonstrate true impartiality in this case, something it has failed to show in its treatment of the Jewish state. jpost.com/middle-east/ar…

2025 was one of the most violent years for American Jews in recent memory. The bipartisan Jewish American Security Act would protect Jewish communities, students and institutions through coordinated federal action. As ADL's @_MarinaRos said, "When Jewish people are afraid to go to synagogues, to walk down the street wearing a kippah or Star of David, or afraid to send their children to preschool, thoughts and prayers are no longer enough." We urge Congress to pass this bill swiftly.

Pressures on Jewish life have risen to levels not seen in decades, from government restrictions in Europe to fear of wearing a kippah in the U.S. Even as increasing numbers of Jews are proudly returning to their identity, many feel the need to conceal symbols of their faith to feel safe. Today marks one year since the horrific shooting at @CapJewishMuseum in Washington, D.C., which took the lives of Sarah Milgrim z”l and Yaron Lischinsky z”l. They were murdered while attending a Jewish community event. This tragedy was a sobering reminder of the persistent threat of violent antisemitism in the United States. This past March, we were honored to hear from Sarah’s parents, who spoke about their beautiful daughter, their grief and how the Jewish community has become their family during this unimaginably difficult time. May the memories of Sarah and Yaron forever be a blessing, and may we all remain committed to the work against antisemitism and hate.

We welcome @USTreasury’s decision to list Jaldia Abubakra and Mohammed Khatib as Specially Designated Global Terrorists (SDGTs) due to their leadership within the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network. Samidoun is an organization sanctioned by U.S. and Canada for its financial ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a designated terrorist group. Over the years, the ADL Center on Extremism has worked with key governmental stakeholders, testified to Congress, and reported on Samidoun's dangerous activities and terror apologia.

We are saddened by the passing of Congressman Barney Frank z"l, a trailblazer who changed American politics forever. He helped normalize being openly LGBTQ in public office, and his courage paved the way for countless others. A grandson of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe, and a proud supporter of Israel and the Jewish people, Barney was brilliant, fearless and unapologetically himself. He will be deeply missed. Ben Gvir's disgraceful behavior towards detained flotilla "activists" is inexcusable and counterproductive. We join Israeli officials and many others in unequivocally condemning it. While these so-called activists are driven by an anti-Israel animus and focused on provocative actions designed to delegitimize the Jewish state, Ben Gvir's conduct undermines Israel's diplomatic efforts to peacefully resolve this matter and fuels those who seek to delegitimize Israel and target Jewish communities.

Injecting an antisemitic trope into your concession speech by implying the primary winner is controlled by Israel? That’s where you chose to go? Leaders should know better than to traffic in insinuations about dual loyalty and Jewish control.

People flock to Miami for sun and sea, not for hate.
