I commend Nigerians for refusing to let propaganda bury documented history.
A man with a U.S. narcotics-linked forfeiture record has no moral authority to lecture anybody about drug syndicates.
The same Bola Ahmed Tinubu who forfeited $460,000 to the U.S. government in a Chicago case tied to heroin proceeds is now issuing presidential sermons about saving Nigeria from narco-traffickers.
What exactly are Nigerians supposed to do with this comedy of national disgrace?
The fox is not guarding the henhouse. The fox is holding a press conference about poultry security.
You cannot launder a Chicago drug-money record with NDLEA press statements.
You cannot wear agbada over forfeiture documents.
You cannot pose as the enemy of narcotics when your own public record still smells of the very trade you are pretending to condemn.
Nigeria is not suffering from forgetfulness.
Nigeria is suffering from shameless leadership.
The fight against drugs must begin with truth.
And the truth is simple: no country serious about fighting narcotics should be led by a man whose name appears in a U.S. heroin-linked forfeiture case.
