🧵 For the c. 2million+ years, children learned from their parents/ extended families. 200 years ago we created an industrialised model of education where children were taught by people outside of their families. This is why it matters than children like their teachers...

@Headspace So, Headspace do you no longer offer free licences for UK teachers? Seems odd given that Andy is from the UK and Headspace was founded here

It's a messed up society that makes this man-boy rich and listened to as though he has the answers. #manosphere

The 'quiet curse' rhetoric implies that ‘disadvantaged’ children ‘fail’ because of low expectations? This ignores the 'loud' realities of regional disparities, inequalities, food insecurity, employment opportunities, digital divide, etc.Does Ofsted not want to listen to the truth?
Ofsted@Ofstednews

Last week our Chief Inspector, @martyneoliver, spoke at ASCL's Annual Conference about: • the 'quiet curse of low expectations' for disadvantaged children • how Ofsted uses insight • piloting a new way of bringing in inspectors Read now ⬇️ gov.uk/government/spe…

@camloon @LucyGoBag I'm not sure she held him to account at all. At the end of the doc she was defending her son and having a go at Louis.

'Who else is talking positively about boys and men?' The creator behind The Tin Men thinks the rise of the manosphere is 'totally unsurprising'.

@dadmatters_uk @TheTinMenBlog @LBC The point is proven by highlighting his sources are biased. Civitas is a right wing think tank. Unherd is a right wing magazine. Both regularly slate teachers and mainstream education. This is not reliable or independent research he's citing. It's BS stats

@AdrianBethune @TheTinMenBlog @LBC @grok is it logically inconsistent for a father to advocate for fathers rights while criticising another person who ad homed a view without offering any alternative view? Where does such behaviour rank on roll model value?

@DollyMiddlemiss @LBC Yeah, at no point is he telling these angry men to not swear, insult or verbally attack me in the replies. Perhaps he doesn't care about men so much after all. Or maybe only those who share his views?

@AdrianBethune @LBC If boys are being taught that men are problem in society, is it that men are a problem in society? I've not actually set that as a lesson objective, or said that, BTW. But really? He's just proved his own point and all his horrible followers* trolling you *other accounts

@AdrianBethune @TheTinMenBlog @LBC If you’re going to ad hom someone’s contention, the bring your own truths with receipts… or fuck off. You’re wasting everyone’s time

An ad hominem fallacy attacks the person making the claim rather than the claim itself. Dismissing sources as "massively biased" without naming them, showing specific flaws, or offering counter-evidence (e.g., from DfE/ONS stats on boys' school outcomes) leaves the rebuttal unsubstantiated. Primary data on UK education gaps is publicly available for review.

@dadmatters_uk @TheTinMenBlog @LBC Your views aren't toxic at all, are they? Advocating for dad's rights on the one hand, but calling me, a dad, retarded and moronic because we share different views. What a great role model you make to young boys and men.

@AdrianBethune @TheTinMenBlog @LBC You don’t sound bias at all… Or woke, or retarded. You challenge a convention and bring no receipts. That makes you an NPC bot. Go be lame and moronic it your echo chamber of sycophants

@ProudlyPastoral x.com/i/status/20332… I commented and got a whole load of abuse from people that care about men's mental health, apparently 🤷🏽‍♂️😅
Adrian Bethune@AdrianBethune

@LBC What a load of rubbish. You can't just have guests on making up stats about what happens in schools. Reminds me of the fact that 75% of LBC interviewees make up their statistics to prove their points.

If you look at the replies to my comment below, the irony that lots of men are being aggressive and vitriolic towards me in the replies. But, weirdly, im the problem. Not them? How odd. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@MisandryE @TheTinMenBlog @LBC Right, so it's all teachers' fault? OK, yeah, that's makes sense. We have the data to prove it. World leading expert. Jeez, you guys literally just make stuff up!

@TheTinMenBlog @AdrianBethune @LBC And the guy is a teacher. Like i posted yesterday about one praising "the manosphere documentary". Boys are not turning to it, we have the data to prove it. But if they do, it's teachers driving them away. People, like him who don't listen, they force their beliefs on them.
