It was fun creating this world together with the other worldbuilding course participants! Also got down to do the quick math on humanoid robots: what if the # grows at 50% a year just like electric cars? We get to 1 robot per human within the next 2 decades :o

@hubermanlab How to start building strength after back injury? How much pain/effort is there when starting from a low point? Eg dont train into the pain? Or tolerate tiny amounts? What connections and exercises to hip and neck to look out for? Thanks :)

Recording a solo episode of the Huberman Lab podcast on how to strengthen and pain free your back (a very common problem). I’ve consulted with 3 world experts: a PT, a MD and a PhD expert in spine pain and physiology, What do you want to know? Please put in the comments below:

@hubermanlab What draws people to enjoy 2-400 bpm blast beasts (eg technical death metal)?

@TylerAlterman Oh forgot the best thing! Definitely sections but the production is so interesting vibranty gutturally ambient: Humanity's Last Breath. The Album Välde also exists as instrumental. Definitely a distortion noise floating kind of vibe. (whatever that means)

Tyler is finishing a book, slow to reply
For some reason heavy metal puts me deeply at ease. Can anyone recommend metal to meditate to? I love, eg, Slipknot, but looking for: • Minimal vocals (ideally just instrumental or guttural screams) • Monotonous/low variation/no sections

@TylerAlterman "The Stygian Complex - Crooked Noose" (bit more section-ish, but great on blast beasts + chunky rythm in the back + gutturals/sqeals)

@TylerAlterman I see you frequently commenting 'need more intensity/violence'. How about "To The Grave"? Can recommend the "Global Warning" album. Probably better to ignore the eco-fascim lyrics for the meditation though (they are basically inaudible).

@thommers @TylerAlterman Archspire is amazing. Tracks up to 400 bpm (and matching harsh vocals). They have a lot of beauty pauses and melody though. Which might make them unfit for the meditation request.

@TylerAlterman With your limitations I recommend 'Unreqvited - The Autumn Fire'. And if you like that the whole catalogue. Something with more intensity and gutturals but also more sections is Lorna Shore. I relax to the album 'Pain Remains' quite a bit :)

Super volcanoes pose such a threat to our civilization because of the way that they block out the sun for periods of time. @mill_aron and the team at ALLFED want to make sure that if this happens, our food supply doesn’t vanish with the sunlight. #crops #cropsecurity #food
