Everybody knows how I felt about the convoy. My cartoons were on Tucker Carlson and berated by Elon Musk. I was a harsh critic of the convoy.
BUT:
The criminal trial for the convoy is just keeping us divided. The results could divide us more. This should never have gone to trial. It gives the appearance of government control over free speech. Even if mild sentences are handed down, Canada will be on every alt-right social media site in the world as a country that does not tolerate conflicting opinions.
If either go to jail, even for an hour, they will become worldwide cause célèbre. It will just create two Kyle Rittenhouse's.

I’m on a flight in US and an old lady has caused confusion, hilarity and then amazement as the crew expected her to be an infant. She is actually 101 and the computer can’t handle an age that high so just put her down as a 1 year old on the manifest. She laughed it off. Legend.

CORRECTION Boy was I wrong. Looks to me now like these students were NOT chanting “We want Jewish genocide!” but rather “We charge you with genocide.” Big thanks to @amlamey for catching this. I deleted my tweet from last night.
