One of my absolute favourites. An agrarian classic. This is a book which has deeply formed me and my writing. I was climbing the fell above @herdyshepherd1's farm at the weekend, and looking down on his landscape I was greatly impressed by what I saw.

Your will doesn't control where most of your money goes when you die. Beneficiary designations do. A form you filled out when you opened the account overrides everything in your will. Here's what actually happens - and the update most people have never made ↓

@FranWalsh73 Problem is you usually at most can put two beneficiaries, and even then you may not be able to split it into percentages.

The will doesn't get a vote. When the owner dies, the institution transfers funds to the named beneficiary. - Whatever the will says. - Whatever the intent was. - Whatever happened since.

Left her here, looking very small and pistangy 😭 but she was a very good girl. The hospital is very posh and the vet nurse we left her with was lovely. Apparently they do email an update, so I will share that when I get it. Thanks so much for all the kind messages. 🧡🖤
