@Hier0nymusBotch @EliErlick Except men with big tits don’t get arrested for going topless, whether it’s due to fat, genetic conditions, or pec implants. So if trans women are “just men in drag”, why would they get in trouble? Fwiu, most of them grow their tits just like men with hormone imbalances do

@EliErlick This isn't actually a contradiction. A painting of a topless woman isn't actually a woman, but if you display it in public you'll likely get in trouble. Reasonable to object to that, but never on grounds of "that's not a woman, officer, it's just some splotches of paint"

One year ago, trans women held an iconic topless protest outside Scottish Parliament. I love it when trans women hold topless demonstrations. If they're arrested, the state must admit they're women. If they aren't, it exposes the obvious absurdity of defining trans women as male.

@JoelIrvine @Blu222222 @NYCMayor They could also drop your home state TWICE and it STILL wouldn’t measure up to losing NYC. Do you honestly think they’re going to do that? Your point is business-illiterate idiocy. Plus, chopping NYC would tank their stocks. Do you think the investors would be happy about that?

Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani
Amazon is worth $2 trillion. But it didn't deign to pay the millions of dollars it racked up in unpaid fines as its’ trucks illegally polluted our air and forced New Yorkers to breathe in their exhaust.
We collected every dollar they owe the people of this city — and will continue to hold them accountable. In New York, corporations are held to the same standard as everyone else.
No company — no matter how large or powerful — is above the law.

@DerekEsq @micah_erfan Which is what they should have done in the first place. A brick & mortar business also has overhead fees that keep their doors open, but they don’t mark down their prices and then add those fees at the register; they bake them into the product prices. To do otherwise is deceptive

@aeolustalks @micah_erfan I understand that. But my point is if a company has an “admin” fee on top of the price of a service, and that company is now relying on that admin fee for their revenue stream, they’ll just add that in if they actually need it.

Bc dumb cunts like u thought it meant “it’s warmer now” and not “greenhouse gases heating the atmosphere destabilize the polar vortexes, making extreme weather events more common.” Tho “climate change” is clearly a worse name bc now yall just say “well the climate always changes”

@DerekEsq @jtbanned4 @micah_erfan So now it’s “authoritarian” to stop businesses from falsely advertising the true prices of their goods/services? And you’re supposed to be a lawyer? You people are so unserious.

@jtbanned4 @micah_erfan Well, you definitely can’t force a company to cap their actual prices of goods. So, where does that leave you, or do you actually want to be an authoritarian?

@DerekEsq @micah_erfan “Baking fees in” is how brick and mortar businesses have always operated, btw. It’s only hotels and online corpos that try to nickle and dime you on hidden service fees. The point isn’t to make things cheaper, it’s to stop businesses from bait-and-switching prices on you.

@micah_erfan I try to keep an open mind, but this never made sense to me. If an institution charges extra fees as part of their revenue stream, banning the “junk” fees would do nothing by way of keeping the companies from just baking those same fees into pricing.

@mdrn_cnservativ @micah_erfan “They’ll just make the products more expensive” yall are so stupid. The products were ALREADY “more expensive” because of all the damn junk fees. At least with them all rolled into the product price, you’ll know what you’re actually paying up-front, won’t you.

@Blu222222 @JoelIrvine @NYCMayor Yeah like Amazon could stop servicing ALL of Vermont, Alaska, Wyoming, West Virginia, AND both Dakotas tomorrow, and it still wouldn’t measure up to the amount of profit they’d lose cutting off NYC.

@gribblecig2 @SQLBrethen @JoelIrvine @NYCMayor Perhaps. I don’t know if that’s true in circumstances considered overly hostile. Example, high crime cities with catch/release or non arrest theft policies. You see businesses leaving, and nobody taking their place.

@JoelIrvine @NYCMayor Lmao. Quick q do you think the largest city in the USA only accounts for an insignificant amount of Amazon’s customer base? My conservative guess is that Amazon makes about $9 million a week in NYC. This petty shit is why yall are keyboard warriors and not business owners

@NYCMayor It would be funny if Amazon just stopped delivering there. Just returned all orders, cancelled any new ones, and fired all the employees responsible for servicing the area. Can’t drive our trucks for delivery, sorry folks, have a nice day.

@sephirothrule34 To be fair, a lot of the heraldic devices that bear similar crests and colors are actually related to one another, branches off a main family, related by marriage, etc. The more unrealistic thing about Game of Thrones heraldry is that there aren’t more devices with non-animals

Built between 1905 and 1908, Palau de la Música Catalana is one of Barcelona’s great masterpieces of Catalan Modernisme. Its famous inverted stained-glass dome pours natural light into the auditorium, turning the ceiling into a glowing sun above the stage.
