I had to change the driver to using the Line status register instead of the Interrupt identification register to handle the transfer. Actually makes the driver easier. Not sure why the driver worked on the 16550A and not on the 16752

I have a weird problem with the TL16C752 DUART. I am using my 16550A driver, but it does not seem to be clearing the tx and/or rx ints correctly, even though the IIR handling should be compatible from the datasheet. This throws the driver in a loop. Any experiences/hints? #8bit

@CodingAndThings Easy. The colour of the bricks don't match the colour of the boards. This introduces quantum colour impedance mismatch, which causes all kinds of errors ;-) Good luck with the debugging!

@hacknet Typically all original 8250 "PC compatible" UARTs have active high interrupt outputs, and generally a different type of bus interface, causing issues connecting to a 6502 system. But this is the first I see with high impedance after reset ti.com/lit/ds/symlink…

@CommodoreLad I don’t want to speak for them! The CMD HD isn’t currently available for sale, but I believe this is part of the plan. 🤞🏻

Oh my! OH My! Look at what just arrived at my door! This is a *brand new* CMD FD-4000 reproduction by Corei64. They’ve acquired CMD copyrights to build these and more. This is a “visually faithful” modern reproduction with an updated board layout inside. #C64 😁😊🤪🤗😆🥳🤩

@Olimex Nice one! But isnt' the claim being 30x faster a little bit exaggerated when the CPU clock is only 6.5 MHz compared to 1980's 1+MHz machines?

@afachat Ah, now I get it: PETSCII (what I was refering to) versus screen codes (what you were doing).

@afachat Try `PRINT ASC("π")` using the keyboard – this should give 255, which is also the token for Pi. The entire parsing routine relies on this.
