@dominic_w Increasing the burden on devs and startup applications on your network has to be one of the strangest methods of increasing revenue I've ever heard of. There are like 10 things that could be tried before you settle on...well...I shouldn't type what it's like doing to your devs.

All, we're kicking off #Mission70
Imminently, DFINITY will post an NNS proposal to increase onchain (replicated subnet) memory costs by a measured amount.
This will immediately increase network revenues and deflationary pressure if the proposal is adopted.
We are talking to stakeholders throughout the community while finessing additional #Mission70 proposals.
We plan to hold an X Space as soon as we are ready, probably early next week.
Looking forward to the Network Nervous System doing its work, and guiding ICP / the Internet Computer on its journey towards an exciting future.

We've added event replay and subscription payments to our ICAiBus event pub-sub system on the Internet Computer. youtu.be/qRVi7dW8q44

@feindura Saw your talk a couple of times at devcon…curious what @lukso_io offers that @dfinity ‘s Internet identity didn’t solve 15 mnths ago? With t-ecdsa #IC can broadcast eth transactions to relayers for free with http outcallls. Looks like cool stuff but why a new chain?

I am happy to see $ICP getting some recognition. It’s a great infrastructure that will play also a future role for @ERC725Account and @lukso_io
In September we’ve spent some time in their offices and meeting @dominic_w again after some time.
Dom was also was present when I created ERC725 at a workshop organized by @tomserres and @BWarburg 🖇️

It took a year, but we finally have the Subscription Utility back up on the fiduciary subnet: forum.dfinity.org/t/subscription…. Anyone know a service that needs on-chain subscriptions?

@lisyarus You have the angle of the camera? Just jack the transparency as you approach straight overhead(maybe in an exponentoal manner...They look awesome at an angle and don't impede until you look straight down.

I like how the clouds look in my game, but they severely obstruct the ground view when looking from above the clouds 😓 Adding a "show/hide clouds" UI button seems like a very crude solution.

@marc0olo @DFINITYDev Say your application has a service for deposits, and each asset gets a different deposit address for separation of concerns. (Say top 100 ERC-20s), being able to calc them in a loop and serve them up would be cheaper than asking the tecdsa canister 100 times.
English

@afat @DFINITYDev The purpose of these libraries is mainly for using it client-side. Do you have any concrete use cases in mind where this would be helpful onchain? If so it could save you cycles, yes😁

🔐 Offline Key Derivation for ICP (ECDSA & Schnorr)
Developers can derive canister public keys entirely offline — without calling the management canister.
We’ve released a new Rust library, and a TypeScript library many developers haven’t discovered yet — both supporting ECDSA and Schnorr key derivation.
📘 Why this matters
ICP’s key derivation is deterministic and public — given the master public key, canister ID, and derivation path, anyone can compute the same canister public key locally.
No secrets. No blockchain calls. Just pure math.
💡 What this enables
• Verify canister public keys offline
• Derive blockchain addresses (e.g. Ethereum, Bitcoin) for canisters
• Build explorers or dashboards showing cross-chain balances
• Simplify development & testing without connecting to ICP
• Enhance privacy and reduce network dependencies
🧠 Learn how it works

We've made the first ICRC-137 veto proposal to the NNS: nns.ic0.app/proposal/?u=qo… Please vote ACCEPT so we can advance with our alpha test. If this passes it should block an upgrade on our veto_lifeline canister.

@BearkatBites This was just a huge marketing miss all around. Why in the world didn't they just give away tickets to alumni and offer free booze? Make it a party atmosphere, and then provide season ticket apps for next year in Huntsville. Take the party on the road 2026.

1/ TL;DR
ICDevs shipped the first ICRC-137 veto-governed canisters (Veto + Lifeline). Admins keep control, but every sensitive call can be vetoed by the NNS. Mutual lifeline. ICRC-120 orchestrator is next under 137. Accountability without coin-vote chaos. forum.dfinity.org/t/anti-dao-pre…

Raising the price on developers in the current situation seems insane to me. It is already expensive enough to launch experiments of any significant size. We have no testnet. SNSs are already too expensive for most use cases. Crazy. nns.ic0.app/proposal/?prop… Reject.

The foundation will do everything to hide execution but nothing to ensure 3rd-party verification; showing only the file signature while the hype cartel pushes black box DeFi.
Wouldn't this update have the secondary effect of law enforcement not even being able to observe a malicious smart contract?
The ordering of milestones is all wrong here.
