Let’s just not confuse the 2. We don’t need min-wage or union protection. But I have no problem w/unions in general - just don't interfere w/my business.

I understand that certain workers need and want “protection” (you??), but not everybody falls into that category. #Prop22 passed for a reason!!!!

You’re argumentative for no reason, Mr Employee - I provided you with a VERY good interpretation of the decision which - incorrectly - AB5 was based on; this, amongst other reasons, is why my and many other professions HAD to get an exemption.

Effective immediately! The Governor signed our clarifications to AB5 in AB2257. More flexibility for musicians, journalists, photographers, creatives, interpreters & translators. Plus clear language on sole proprietors & new referral agency language.

@alexnpress Discussed this with some friends who worked with her and witnessed first hand the devastating effects her actions had on their place of work. They informed me that she doxxed everyone who got in her way. She knows what she is doing. This is violence. Please amend your article.

During covid people need to work from home but can’t because AB5 drove all the freelance work from the state. They would rather see people suffer than admit their law is a failure. And make no mistake. It is.

CA Companies use ICs in other states now. You aware of that? Just curious if this is mere lack of information or ignorance??

The lack of gravitas you give legitimate grievances of lost jobs/income is unbecoming of elected officials. You could both be leaders during a #pandemic but instead make jokes about #AB5. Californians are hurting & could work from their homes right now if not for AB5.

Eg I make a good living as an IC translator, working mostly for agencies, none of which could hire me FT just for my one language pair. W-2 w/less than 30hrs-> no benefits (health ins., etc). What’s the point then? No logic. #NoProact
