Different backgrounds and priorities shape these views. Michelle Obama spoke candidly (in a 2025 podcast and 2019 Kimmel interview) about standard first-family rules: no rent/staff costs, but personal food, kids' non-official travel on the First Lady's plane, etc., paid out-of-pocket—framed as a financial reality with young daughters in school. JD Vance, from humble roots, posted thanks to Americans upon settling into the VP residence, emphasizing gratitude and stewardship. Experiences vary by family needs, life stage, personality, and what gets highlighted: practical costs vs. honor of service. Not opposites, just different emphases on the same perks and responsibilities.

Michelle Obama complained that living in the White House was expensive, complaining she had to pay for her own food and to use government aircraft. JD Vance, on the other hand, was grateful for everything and spoke only positively.

@VigilantFox most of us have lost all respect for @GovJVentura after he tried to screw over Taya Kyle while she was in mourning over the death of her husband. We hold him at the same level as we hold Hanoi Jane. Whatever he has planned, it will only end up as a punchline in a very bad joke.

Former wrestler and Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura teases a new “plan” to go “face to face” with Trump in Washington. You’ll have to listen closely. He doesn’t want to “spill” what he’s planning. PIERS MORGAN: “Do you intend to run again… maybe president?” VENTURA: “I don’t necessarily intend to run… but I’m working on something that could send me straight to Washington and go face to face with this guy.” MORGAN: “Really?!” VENTURA: “Plans may be in the works.” MORGAN: “So what would that involve?” VENTURA: “Well, you’ll have to find out… I’ll put it to you this way.” “I was taught in war to do this: you ensure that your backyard is secure.” “Well, Minnesota’s now secure. We’ve repelled the onslaught from Trump. Now it’s time for us to go on the offense.” “So maybe it’s time to send the Navy SEAL to Washington. Maybe it’s time for a showdown between the Vietnam veteran and the draft dodger.”

All fear in humans, including clinical phobias, is a learned behavior. Rather, we are born with what is called perceptual bias - a hardwired tendency of the brain to rapidly detect and prioritize attention toward certain stimuli that were evolutionarily relevant threats to our ancestors, such as snakes, spiders, heights, sudden movements, and Teletubbies. This bias is not fear; it is simply an enhanced vigilance system that makes learning fear easier and faster when those stimuli are paired with negative experiences.

A test to see if people are inherently scared of snakes or if it is learned. They put babies on the floor with snakes to see how they reacted. Being 100% honest, my yuck factor is about 105. 😬😬

The Socialists, formerly known as the Democratic Party, have abandoned any pretense of concealing their corruption. As long as they can continue rigging the system through unchecked mail-in voting (by relentlessly blocking commonsense reforms like the Save America Act) and by flooding the country with millions of illegal migrants under Biden’s open-border policies, they’re perfectly content to let their corruption unfold in broad daylight. To them, power is the only non-negotiable priority. Election integrity, border security, and the rule of law are treated as mere obstacles to be dismantled or ignored.

Canines can hear frequencies up to 45–65 kHz - well into the ultrasonic range that’s completely inaudible to humans. Your pooch is almost certainly reacting to something you can’t hear, faint sounds coming from your attic, the roof, or a nearby tree. I once had a timber wolf who acted strangely every time ants marched across the roof of his enclosure. It took us a full month to figure out what was bothering him.

If you have ever had a very sensitive dog, hear me out please. My rescue Dini who was abused very badly is highly sensitive. He keeps looking up at the ceiling and following something we cannot see. He is trying to talk like Siberian Huskys do but he isn't husky. He is even whining looking at the ceiling. Occasionally barking at the ceiling. We have heard rumors this house was built on graves of the civil war soldiers and Natives who died on the Trail of Tears. Have you ever had a dog do this?

I often compare the West's growing surrender to Popper's Paradox of Tolerance - and it may well be Islam's and communism's most potent weapon. Our openness, particularly the seemingly boundless tolerance championed by the left, risks becoming the very mechanism of our undoing... unless good people finally stand up and speak out.

If those who follow Christ refuse to stand up right now... if we won’t open our mouths and call out the wickedness and darkness that’s spreading unchecked, we won’t just lose battles. We will lose the country itself. There won’t be an America left worth recognizing. There are real forces of evil standing up in this country. Silence isn’t neutrality. Silence is surrender. We’re called to be salt and light, not bystanders. The time to speak is now, before it’s too late. I truly don't believe we will have another chance.

>as we know it today Ok, so...are you retarded? I don't understand? Like, are you two years old? You're not? You've been alive a minute, to not only see the changes in the world that have occured but also develop the forebrain to understand that the underlying pattern of the illusory physical universe is that the negentropic phenomequalitesselation of what is colloquially referred to as our Brahmic-source God grows logarithmically more complex as subpatterns come together to form superpatterns, as it says in the first story of the Bible, yea? So...twenty years from now when we have instant global telepathy, surely then you will realize what you're so clearly missing now, right? But y'know, occult just means hidden, which is how we've engineered our occidental civilization.

The real challenge isn’t just finding the right ingredients for a usable plant-based cat food, it’s forcing the cat’s body to properly digest and utilize what it truly needs. Taurine is one essential amino acid cats cannot synthesize themselves; it’s vital for normal heart muscle structure and contraction. Their physiology is evolved to rely on it from animal sources, so you can’t simply swap it for a plant-based substitute. For a vegan diet to work, cats would need to evolve either the ability to synthesize taurine properly from plants or to function well with a different compound. Either path requires long-term evolutionary change, not miracles of science as we know it today.

Plants X+Y+Z in blender, apply heat in solution, do the wooga woo of biochemical engineering twenty years from now, is it possible this concoction of nature and man's bravado can get what we in the industry call a "ratio" of nutrients. That's a big fancy word, I know, but y'know, if we can make the brain of a cunt play doom with technology, why no technology make meat plant or plant meat good enough with magick over long term, or is you dumb?

Cats are obligate carnivores. They require specific nutrients that they cannot synthesize adequately themselves. These nutrients are readily available in animal tissue but absent in plants. Evolution has no foresight or end goal, but for cats to naturally thrive on a purely plant-based diet, their physiology would need major rewiring - new metabolic pathways, better plant digestion, restructured teeth and jaw, etc... That level of adaptation would take several million years of intense selective pressure, such as an environment with no animal prey where only plant-tolerant cats reproduce successfully.

@klara_sjo I am generally opposed to this until we can take the leap to full plant-based equivalence of meat products, cuz a vegan can sense what they feel and their body needs and can choose meals accordingly, but an animal has no way to communicate if this shit is slowly killing it.

Christopher Hitchens: ”In 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815. Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did. Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.”
