I think people are finally starting to realise that the whole “Swarla romantic spring” was just another one of Kate Brooks’ little enjoyable rides. We’ve got Connie, Roy basically burning alive, and wait for it, Lisa can’t find her warrant card 🤣 This is the first successful lesbian wedding in Corrie’s history, and instead of joy, build-up, excitement… as we know we get a murder as the backdrop. I wanted better for Swarla. I wanted better for the representation. If anyone can hand on heart say there has to be drama on their wedding day to keep people watching… I’ll eat my hat. They’ve had four months to rebuild Lisa’s character, to give us depth, accountability, even a hint of remorse for not believing Carla, her supposed soulmate, over Becky. Instead, we’re stuck going round in circles. And this whole “you just don’t get Lisa, she was abused” argument is tired. We do get it. What you’re not getting is that the show hasn’t actually told that story. Manipulation? Yes. But coercion? That’s never been clearly confirmed on screen, has it. The way it’s been written is messy at best and misleading at worst. For people who’ve genuinely experienced coercive control and saw parts of themselves in Lisa or even Carla, that lack of clarity isn’t just frustrating, it’s disrespectful. It blurs something that, in real life, is very real and very serious. I think there needs to be a bit more understanding that not everyone is naive or obsessed with impressing people. For some of us, what Carla and Lisa’s story means and meant, runs much deeper than that. It’s about our own history, our experiences, and finally seeing parts of ourselves represented on screen. But whatever.

It's so funny seeing these comments about Vanessa & Dr.Todd when the love of her life is CHARITY DINGLE. I'm not caught up on Emmerdale yet so idky everyone hates Dr.Todd but I know Dr.Todd can't have done worse than Charity fucking Dingle. I think it'll be alright.

The character assassination of Lisa by Corrie is genuinely unforgivable. Four months of tearing her down for a storyline that was so poorly executed just feels ridiculous. And don’t even get me started on how she treated Carla, supposedly the love of her life only for the aftermath to be handled just as badly. We’ve not even seen a proper apology or real conversation. Now we’ve got pouty Lisa back with Carla🥱 We all know Lisa was manipulated and coerced but that certainly wasn’t the story that was meant to be told. We’re still waiting to find out what that actually was, aren’t we😶
