Ignore this if you are just gonna reply dead game lol But I am curious to discuss with people why yall think Marathon is still losing players. I truly believe it was going to stablize. Is it too hardcore or are players just bored of the gameplay loop? If you have fallen off Marathon I want to hear from you!

@BackersGamesF Epic is in contact with the family and will solve the insurance for them. There is high confidentiality around medical information and it was not a factor in this layoff decision. Sorry to everyone for not recognizing this terribly painful situation and handling it in advance.

@grungepoptart @fandompulse well he came up with the whole idea, sure he did took inspiration from older cinema, as any other creative person does, but still he did try something new. dont get mad because he pointed out the ovbious problem wiht the MCU, wich at this point is just a zombie franchise.

@Critical_Scribe Well, yeah, thats why its a zelda game. They have their developers, they do a new thing, and the next question is "what IP should have this game?", nintendo do take risk unless the game gets way too big.

Here’s a spicy take: If someone made a game almost exactly like Breath of the Wild but it wasn’t labeled as a Zelda game, it would have gotten 7-8/10s across the board due to a lack of story, weak dungeons, and weapon degradation. I wouldn’t have given it that, and I actually LOVE both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but people let Zelda “get away” with a lot more than other games and it gets to be a bit much to hear at times. If something is not very good in one game, slapping it into the Zelda world doesn’t magically make the thing good. This goes for any Nintendo property btw.

@NiftyN00b I do like the art direction a lot, I refuse to buy a recolor, like, guys wtf, give it more sauce to the skin, this is not ovewatch you dont need the silouette mentallity.

Honestly, it’s wild that we’re only getting one shop bundle a week… I don’t know if they just don’t have a large assortment of skins ready yet, or if they’re intentionally drip-feeding content. Either way, I’d like to be able to browse more options weekly instead of waiting months for a good skin to show up. Customization was something highlighted in the early marketing, and so far it’s felt pretty limited. :P

During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.
