He deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan, respected by all who served beside him. On September 11, 2008, during a mission in Afghanistan, he led his team into a heavily defended compound. Under intense enemy fire, he fought to protect his teammates and help secure the objective. While shielding others, he was mortally wounded—just 30 years old. When the mission turned… others went back for them. For nearly six hours, forces worked to recover their remains from those caves. Because in the U.S. military, “leave no one behind” is not optional. It is a commitment that holds, even in the darkest places. That operation reportedly resulted in the elimination of 25 ISIS fighters, along with the destruction of nine tunnels and a training camp. Trump is teaching a thing about modern warfare and I hope other world leaders are paying attention. When the search and rescue team were unable to locate the ejected airman after hours of searching, Trump suspended everything, moved away from the public and summoned his security team to an emergency meeting. He controlled and monitored the search right from Washington for over 7 hours. No media. Just pure commitment. He was on ground to communicate directly and give orders easily when needed. He only returned to the public after the safe evacuation of the airman. This is leadership. This is passion. This is commitment. Trump just showed the world how important the life of a US soldier is.
