When I was a student in Berlin, transit was free for anyone studying.
That is how you build a culture of transit use, rather than a culture where teenagers dreams of owning a car to achieve freedom.

Transit agencies that don't encourage youth ridership are suicidal. The average income of a 13 y/o is likely under $500. For someone over 20 y/o it is more like $50,000, a factor of 100. Yet @OC_Transpo charges each of them $4 to ride the bus. #ottcity
