@thdxr Yes so imagine the PM but when you copy a password there's a 10% chance one of the characters is wrong but you won't know unless you memorize the password first. Also each password costs $.10 + revenue share (still figuring that part out tho)

openclaw is insane i gave it 1 API key and told it to create a maple syrup farm and 3 hours later it sent me this with that single API key it contacted 37 different companies located in 8 different countries around the world that own maple syrup farms of the 4 that responded it then negotiated down to get me the best price at a 7% discount and purchased 3 trees for me for the season then provided billing and shipping info for when the first batch of syrup is ready in about 5 weeks time from a single telegram message i sent half awake this morning i'll be receiving 2 liters of fresh maple syrup directly from quebec this really is the future

@ThePrimeagen I know that companies can simply enforce these things through their TOS. But outside of that, is the argument here that training on model outputs counts as IP theft? I thought that training on publicly available data was fair use and training a model was transformative 🤔

@amritwt - No backups - Not highly used - Bad access controls Time to pivot, market it as an upgrade. You've successfully pruned technical debt 😎

@CryptoCyberia IMO the agents shouldn't be treated like a dev. They're just power-tools for devs. It's the difference between a screwdriver and a drill. Both are just extensions of the craftsman, but the drill is objectively faster and more powerful on many tasks. Including code-gen IMO.

The most correct take on AI coding agents I have seen. You may not like it, but this is the truth of the matter.

The ones making real money don't scream about their tech stack on X. They stay silent to avoid copycats. Go to Acquire. Look at the micro-SaaS listings selling for $50k-$100k. Read the descriptions low maintenance, automated, simple stack. That is the Vibe Coder portfolio. They aren't looking for validation from engineers. They are looking for buyers.

@andrucz @aidantilgner @jwestonharvey @0xgaut So you want me to do free Market Research just to convince you? If you still can't see the examples today, sorry buddy, but that is your problem, not mine. I am here to build. Not to spoon feed tourists.

@AIDeepExplorer @jwestonharvey @0xgaut Just wondering. Which ones specifically have you seen? Vibe coded products that are making money as you mentioned. Based on your criteria, I'd also expect that these projects strictly don't have a software engineer auditing or guiding the dev process.

@jwestonharvey @0xgaut They aren't on NPM or PyPI. They are on Stripe. You are looking for libraries to fork. I am talking about products to buy. The most valuable vibe coded packages are the ones with a checkout button. Stop auditing GitHub. Start auditing Product Hunt.

@thdxr Yeah, getting the code to a functional place is pretty easy now (depending). A complex feature upgrade takes us like hours now instead of days. But it's death by a thousand papercuts, small things that add up to a qualitatively worse experience. I think the polish is worth it 🤷‍♂️

now that our codebase is more mature, i can prompt iterative features into existence pretty easily tests pass, ui works well but man the code is just not quite right - uses more variables than it should, things named poorly, hard to comprehend, inelegant do i fix it? or are these things no longer relevant? every atom in me says they are relevant and add up to create a mess we pay for later of course i shipped hacky things before AI but i feel pushed to do that even more than my judgement wants to allow

@CatholicPacman @TheSecondTroll @Antunes1 I think we can agree that it's unclear for now, I think it's an angle people want clarity on but I've seen conflicting reports. We'll probably know more in the coming days as statements and more complete reports are put together.

@aidantilgner @TheSecondTroll @Antunes1 Might need a closer look. Seems like the BBC is going off the senator’s social media post and misreported due to ambiguous phrasing by Mullins.
