Notable Friday evening results! 🏀Utah State downed San Diego State to win the Mountain West championship. This likely makes the MWC a 1-bid league, but could move the Aggies up to an 8 seed. The 8/9 cutline is a cluster. 🏀Arizona held off a late Houston surge to win the Big 12 tournament. The Wildcats will be a 1 seed tomorrow, while the Cougars likely missed a chance to nab a 1 seed themselves. 🏀UConn likely missed a chance to steal the last 1 seed as well, getting rocked by St. John’s in the Big East final. Could the Red Storm get a top 4 seed? Maybe. But this win also may have simply been too late. 🏀Akron rallied back to win a classic over Toledo in the MAC championship. The Zips should be an 11 or 12 seed. 🏀Duke squeaked past Virginia in a fantastic ACC title game, which should lock them in at #1 overall. Great performance by UVA, who could’ve been a clear 3 seed with a win, but now could be a 3 or a 4. 🏀Kennesaw State took down LA Tech in the CUSA final, which will cause a bit of the shakeup in the bottom of the seed list. The Bulldogs were a projected 16 seed, but the Owls will likely get a 14 or 15. 🏀Prairie View upset Southern in the SWAC championship and and should be heading to Dayton as a 16 seed.

Notable results from Saturday’s opening few slates of games! 🏀Virginia held off Virginia Tech at home despite a valiant comeback attempt by the Hokies. UVA remains a top 4 seed with the win, while the loss opens the door for another team to steal the last spot in the field from VA Tech. 🏀Louisville held on to win at Miami and finally notch a Q1A win. The win should allow the Cardinals to remain a 6 seed, while Miami missed an opportunity to move up to a 6 seed themselves. 🏀UConn fell at Marquette, leaving the the Huskies vulnerable to get passed for the final 1 seed. 🏀Arkansas went on the road and took down Missouri in OT. The win keeps Arkansas in contention for a top 4 seed, while the Tigers miss another chance to lock themselves into the field. They’re still in for now though. 🏀SMU fell at Florida State in a game they very much needed to be in good position for a bid. Instead, the Mustangs lost their 4th straight, and are now very much straddling the cut line. 🏀NC State was stunned at home by Stanford in a game that could’ve locked in their tournament team status. They’re still in better shape than their conference counterparts SMU, but an early ACC tournament exit would be wise to avoid. 🏀Vanderbilt won at a Tennessee in a battle of current projected SEC 5 seeds. The win keeps the Commodores in the hunt for a top 4 seed, while the Vols are now likely closer to a 6 than a 4.

@jwilkers @AnnaLeighWaters We play against men’s teams a lot. Super draw dependent. We’d make r16 w a lot of draws, even QF on occasion but I think usually r16. We often do better against male teams the more we play them as we figure them out so our first event prob wouldn’t be our best

@ReichelRadio I think the other finalist has to beat just ONE of these two and they win the league. Otherwise if these two BOTH outscore the other finalist, they decide who wins the league based on their own h2h next week
