@KirklandJ2022 @TheGlobalGoals I agree Jared. I plan on focusing on #sdg12 for my unit. Focusing on one goal at a time helps students get the most out of them! This also allows you to focus on specific aspects of the goal that your students are interested in! What aspect of #sdg15 are you focusing on?

This is the month to be focusing on #SDG15 its great to think about all @TheGlobalGoals . However, to engage our students and focus thier mind its helpful to take a deep dive into one. In my unit we will be looking a #SDG Life on Land. What will be your focus? #UoNTeach #educ4750

@aimsgillard Project based learning is a great opportunity for critical thinking skills. Another benefit is students get to build their personal and social capabilities within the community. These are both areas in the NSW general capabilities.

#ProjectBasedLearning is a great way to promote #21stcentury thinking skills. By making furniture out of recycled materials, students will engage in problem solving and critical thinking skills in my unit. What benefits of project based learning have you seen? #UoNteach #educ4750

Community based pedagogy increase student engagement and promotes deeper understanding of content (Sharkey, Clavijo Olarte & Ramirez, 2016). I will use #CBP by including parents in the recycling process of the unit plan. How can CBP be used in your unit plan? #UoNteach #educ4750

@aimsgillard This is a great activity to visualise thinking and connect ideas. I wold use this activity when collecting data in an inquiry based unit to lead into the analysing section. You could also use this by having two ideas and getting students to connect them using critical thinking.

The SAMR model is a powerful model for understanding effective technology integration in classrooms (Terada, 2020). This activity modifies and redefines learning about coral bleaching. It also has a great link to #SDG14. #UoNteach #educ4750
Kristine Holloway@mspaperless

@MicrosoftEDU Students recently worked on a coding project in Minecraft to restore and regrow coral in an attempt to save them from a bleaching crisis as part of our work on the Climate Action Project @PlayCraftLearn @zelfstudie #ClimateActionP

A great way to promote action from students around #SDG12. From little things big things grow! Action doesn't have to end climate change tomorrow, it can start with one re-useable drink bottle or lunch box. This is a great opportunity to discuss healthy lunches too. #educ4750
MissNelson@MissNelson98

How awesome is this school! Terara Public School has a waste free Wednesday where they reduce single use soft plastics in their lunchbox. How can we encourage all schools to get behind this initiative for #sdg12? #UoNTeach #educ4750 youtu.be/-R6wAzsE7jA
