2.7% is normal inflation. Other than reducing the government spend, ending nonsensical handouts and reigning in the deficit, there really isn't a fix. I'm not sure if you're paying attention, but all of that has been done much to the unhappiness of the opposition. What you are suggesting is deflation. Maybe you ought to brush up on your economics. Grocery prices aren't going back to 2019 levels, just like they aren't going back to 1970s levels, unless you want economic stagnation.

This NDAA is a betrayal of American sovereignty. GOP hacks say it’s great because the House attached the SAVE Act to it. Here’s the problem with their spin: The NDAA isn’t due, and almost never passes, before November! A chart of when the NDAA passed during my years in office:
