@howertonjosh Jesus in Zacchaeus' house is one proof text, and the fact that Jesus was considered a drunkard is another. It helps to speak in terms of spaces. What spaces can have the high church feel, and what other spaces can make outsiders feel more at home? Like the OT outer courts?

Pastors: An enormous number (majority?) of pastors (and especially professors) are very, very out of touch with normal people and families, ESPECIALLY blue collar people. So, to reach and disciple those people you are going to need to do some things that “pastor world” finds cringe (not theologically, but in things like style, tone, often emphasis), and you will be chattered about. There will be a couple moments (not in everything) when you’ll have to decide which matters more: Being in the “inside circle” of pastor-world or actually reaching and discipling real people with real jobs and real sins and real problems in a real culture. Charles Spurgeon summarized this dynamic well when he was viciously attacked by other pastors and newspapers for his jokes in the pulpit, his “vulgar tone”, and his sort of blue collar speech: "I am perhaps vulgar, but it is not intentional, save that I must and will make the people listen. My firm conviction is that we have had quite enough polite preachers, and many require a change. God has owned me among the most degraded and off-casts. Let others serve their class; these are mine, and to them I must keep." — Charles Spurgeon

So, an update on our challenge to the legacy universities: @petersonacademy. First and most immediate: we are pleased to announce the release of our latest course, the Historical Reliability of the Bible, taught by none other than the great @WesleyLHuff, whose popularity as a podcast guest may (should) have made him familiar to you. The trailer is super cool. It's well worth a minute of your time. This course suits our broader purposes extremely well—our determination to showcase and promote what the modern universities have decided to abandon: the greatness of the West; the irreplaceable necessity of the free market; the criminal catastrophe of Marxism; the inestimable value and beauty of traditionally classic literature and art; and absolutely unapologetically, the treasure-house of our Judeo-Christian heritage. I originally promised to produce a world class liberal arts bachelor's degree equivalent curriculum available to everyone for less than the cost of a single university course. We're very near to delivering on that promise, with the more than 100 politically-incorrect 8-hour courses we have produced—and in a mere two and half years. We have gathered the best lecturers in the world. We have produced their courses to a standard reached by no other comparable institution. Our 60000 students are thrilled with our constantly improving platform and its widening social network. Join the education revolution.

My activities are still very limited at the moment. I have been doing some writing, however–thank God. I'm so relieved to be once again doing something creative and useful. I have also been watching Professor Paul Kengor's The Dark Side of Marxism from @petersonacademy.   It does not feature the Marx portrayed by the woke university socialist acolytes (to put it mildly). I interviewed @DrPaulKengor a year ago or so ago on my podcast. He's a truly engaging, creative and witty storyteller and lecturer. It turns out that Old Karl was quite the satanic soul. He was a parasite economically all his life, extorting continual support from his long-suffering relatives. He wrote (and admired) purposefully demonic poetry and drama. Most disturbing, however, was his choice of favorite quote. From Goethe's Faust, it's a line I have quoted many times, in consequence of its sheer existential horror. It's Mephistopheles presenting his identity and central credo: “I am the Spirit that endlessly denies! And rightly, too; for all that comes to birth Is fit for overthrow, as nothing worth; Wherefore the world were better sterilized; Thus all that's here as Evil recognized Is gain to me, and downfall, ruin, sin. The very element I prosper in.” I wonder if Zohran Mamdani @NYCMayor knows of the inclination of his apparent intellectual hero?

To the Americans: I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States. And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness: You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence. This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns. Success is equated with exploitation. Ambition is looked upon with contempt. This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom. But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated. This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet. And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America: Thank God for the United States. Thank God for the wisdom of its founders. Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man. Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners. Long may your admirable country dominate the world. Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states. May your two and a half centuries of unparallelled success be just the beginning. Your country is the light of the world, and the city on the hill. Thank God for the USA. Happy 250th. Dr. Jordan B. Peterson

I know it seems the same. But it's not. Mormons are some of the nicest people you can ever know, and my heart goes out to you. There is the real, eternally existing Jesus who actually came to earth. This Jesus is the Great I Am and always has been ONE in essence with the Heavenly Father, coequal with the Holy Spirit. He is the never-created, always and forevermore the perfect and Almighty LORD of the Universe and Maker of all things, the Jesus who is in perfect unity with the Father, together with the Holy Spirit as ONE and the absolute sustainer of all molecules that hold the cells in your body together with nothing more than the sound of His Voice (the Word). This Jesus is imperfectly worshipped by Christians around the world, and only by His Mercy are we made able to approach His Throne. And then there is the "other" jesus who Mormons believe in... a jesus that was sexually created (and not eternally existing) by one of the millions of gods out there, through some female who also gave birth to Satan, putting Jesus and Satan on equal footing because they are brothers. this jesus is unable to save anyone because he has no authority to do so. this jesus is "improving," and getting more perfect, as he once was on the same path we are as an imperfect and sinful man. So, no. The jesus of Mormonism is a demon, and trust me dude, that demon believes in and has seen the real Jesus when he was cast out of heaven before the creation of the world with all the other demons, and he hates God so much that he delights in deceiving Mormons, acting like an angel of light. Read up on your religion and my prayer is you discover the real Jesus, my man.

@BasedMikeLee Partake of communion in remembrance of Him. Study the Bible. Anticipate His Second Coming. Seek salvation through Him. While other Christian traditions may disagree with certain LDS doctrines, there is no question that Jesus Christ stands at the center of Latter-day Saint belief

Claiming that scripture requires you not to speak sharply to people who film unboxing videos of their child’s down syndrome test, who then proudly announce that they have now murdered that child because of said disability (and all of this monetized) is some kind of demented, unbiblical version of Christianity I don’t even have words. Should we not speak sharply to the rapist then? How about the pedophile? Is it fair to sharply condemn their acts to them? Yes, I want all of those people to come to Christ. But do you think that happens by letting them think that what they did wasn’t all that bad? Is this how you witness to other people? Tell them that they’re pretty good, but a little Jesus will make them even better?

Yes, and now we need intelligent discourse about regulating G**gle / Faceb**k, because these companies wield Federal-style control over people and companies. The Internet is infrastructure, like roads, like power grid, but now algos and politics can be used to cut a person or a company off from the public square.

James Madison described the powers of the federal government as “few and defined” and those reserved to the states as “numerous and indefinite.” We’ve been dangerously drifting from that understanding since the 1930s. The drift has been most evident in areas now most fraught with waste, fraud, and abuse. If we honored the Constitution’s limits on federal power, there’d be very little waste, fraud, and abuse in our national government. Share if you’d like to see a “constitutional reset,” in which any government function that’s not obviously and necessarily federal under the Constitution would be returned “to the states respectively, or to the people,” as the Tenth Amendment specifies.

L'égalitarisme a creusé l'inégalité. — Les politiques de discrimination positive à Harvard : étudiants admis avec des scores très en dessous de leurs camarades, taux d'échec dispropportionné, sentiment d'imposture, ressentiment généralisé. On a saboté ceux qu'on voulait aider.
Eduardo Suarez@EduardoSuarez25

Your attitude towards home service companies is based in ignorance. You have no idea how much it costs to have an insured professional do work in your house and take on the liability for water. Glad you could fix it yourself, as I did the exact same thing. Average of $400 of their price tags goes to Google bill alone.

Water heater died last night. 5 yrs old, still under warranty. Called Manufacturer, they said they'd send parts, but that'd be 4-6 days. Couldn't leave my family without hot water that long. So I called local repair company, they'd been there 5 minutes when they quoted me $1,100 to fix it. Wouldn't break it down to parts and labor until I leaned on them hard. - $300 parts - $800 labor For 30-40 minutes of work. For a water heater that cost me $700 with sales tax. I called the manufacturer back and told them the situation and that I planned on buying a new unit at The Home Depot and install it myself (I'd installed my current one). Rheem said no problem, take your old one with you and we'll give you full credit towards your new one. With the military discount from my buddy that was helping me, I was out of pocket a whole $65 when it was all said and done, and even traded up a model with a longer warranty. Thank you Rheem, thank you Home Depot. Fuck off predatory appliance repair companies.

We live in a time when Paul of Tarsus might be tempted to write *new* letters recanting his inspired letters. So many influential people are hypnotized by a spirit of the age. But Jesus said to remain in Him, and to have His Word remain in us.

Spirit Airlines died tonight at the hands of the socialist crusader, Elizabeth Warren She must be so proud to add another casket to her achievements. Tonight at 3am, Spirit turns off the lights. 14,000 jobs gone. 30+ smaller airports lose service. JetBlue offered $3.8 BILLION in cash to buy Spirit in 2022. Shareholders, flight attendants union, literally everyone voted yes. The combined company would have held 9% of the US market against a Big 4 that already owned 80%. For anyone who understands numbers: 9% isn’t a monopoly against 80%. Warren said no. She wrote letters. She pressured Buttigieg. Biden’s DOJ sued. A federal judge killed the deal in January 2024. Her argument: the merger would cost consumers $1 billion a year. Now look at her collateral damage she dusts under the rug. 510 pilots gone in the months after. 1,800 flight attendants furloughed in December. 14,000 jobs in 2023. 7,500 last week. Zero tonight. And that’s just the people in Spirit uniforms. Catering goes. Fuel guys go. Baggage crews, gate agents, airport coffee shops, hotels and rental cars in 70 cities Spirit flew to. Every airline job carries 3 more on its back. 40,000 people out of work because of one woman’s moronic crusade against the market. And the math ain’t mathing. Spirit abandoned 90 routes during the death spiral. Fares on those routes are up 14% on average. Oakland to Newark: $135 to $288. Fort Myers to San Juan: $92 to $219. Kansas City to Newark up 66%. That’s reality. Not some BS number from a “study.” So @SenWarren tell me how this saves the consumer money? Cheap carriers in a market drop fares 21% across the board. Southwest did this in the 90s and saved Americans $68 BILLION over 20 years. Warren killed it. That’s what moronic politicians led by socialism do. Then with her own blind arrogance, she tweeted Spirit’s collapse is “a Biden win for flyers.” A win. 14,000 people are reading termination letters tonight. And she’s taking credit. This is socialism in 2026. A senator who’s never made payroll thinks she knows how to run a market better than the people who own and work in the company. She saved you a billion on imaginary paper. She cost you ten times that in real life. She didn’t protect consumers from anything. 14,000+ will go from working to welfare. She will make sure to blame billionaires, hardworking tax payers, AI, capitalism and whatever monster they will make up tomorrow hiding under your bed. Higher taxes. Fewer jobs. More expensive everything. She called it a win. I hope you enjoy winning.
