@WR4NYGov @CorvidDevoid A personal insult is an instant block. Someone clearly just looking for trouble also.
English

@CorvidDevoid I block people who insult while offering no value, and I reciprocally block anyone who blocks me.
English

I have explained this before but I will say again:
In the West, people think blocking is cowardly
It means you are too afraid to hear opposing views or are afraid of the person that you have to block them.
So people who do not block in Twitter debates are seen as the winners. And they parade that blocked status as a badge of honor.
They even created a game out of it: "block me = I win". So its all about getting the other person to block first
But this is not the case in the East
Here, blocking is seen as boundary setting
It means you respect yourself enough to remove the pests and maintain your peace
And people who don't block are the coward ones who are too scared to stand their ground and tell them off
There is no game here. It's either you shut them down first, or they shut you down.

@judy191083 How are you moving forward with your flight, Judy? April isn't it?

⚽️ Wednesday night's result from T2
Kasetsart FC 1 Sisaket United 1
A point apiece for two teams at opposite ends of the table - and you could say the result neither side wanted.
Kasetsart are still in trouble just above the relegation zone, and have now lost that precious game in hand. Sisaket now in serious danger of losing their automatic promotion place, bearing in mind they have to travel to third-place Pattani FC next Friday, 3rd April.
What a game that promises to be.
Rob and Phil will be discussing the Kasetsart - Sisaket game, plus all last weekend's T2 fixtures on tomorrow's Chiang Mai is Blue Thai football podcast.

@alanldavis We thought about Bishkek but it's a 9-hour return trip and we didn't fancy doing an overnight anywhere.
English

@Ajarncom Tien Shan mountains - and the steppes- around Almaty well-worth visiting. A short road trip will also get you to Bishkek. Don’t even think about visiting Astana unless you are into dystopian sci-fi movies.

@bangkokaussie @KhunPat27 Yeah, nice rage bait indeed.
English

@KhunPat27 Wait till you get to an age where you actually need the insurance, are paying 5 to 10times that, and that insurance coverage has basically excluded everything worth covering. But nice rage bait…

🇹🇭 Thailand: £572 a year for my private health insurance and I can see a doctor instantly in hospitals that are like 5-star hotels.
🇬🇧 UK:
71,000+ people waited over 12 hours in A&E for NHS care in January 2026!!
You’re paying more in Tax and NI…and you’re still stuck in a queue, probably behind illegal immigrants and other migrants who have never paid a penny in taxes 🥳
People use “free healthcare” as a reason to stay though 😅

@Ajarncom the power of media disinformation is incredible. Since 2021 most crime has fallen (exception is knife crime, which is still lower per capita than in the US)

@Ajarncom Where are you heading to in Kazakhstan, I lived in Astana for about 5 months last year (working). Stayed at the St Regis mostly, beautiful hotel and amazing staff there. Went to Almaty a few times also. You can see the investment they've had in Astana, it's a new capital city.

@Ajarncom The problem was caused by AIS and has now been resolved.

@Ajarncom During Covid I brought my laptop to a locked-down Phi Phi with the intention of doing an hour or two of important work while there.
My laptop never left its case.

I take my hat off to those digital nomads who can tap away at the keyboard on a beach or work anywhere outside with a great view.
I'm catching up with the Thai football and making notes for our Thursday podcast... and I find it so tough. After five minutes, I want to wander off to get an ice cream. For me, to do anything 'work-related' while you're in that kind of environment just goes against basic human instinct.
I need to be focused - and sitting in an office or a bedroom in front of a desktop pc with no distractions.
Does anyone else feel that way?
Geez, those digital nomads must have some serious discipline.
