(1/2) FEATURED IN THE BUDGET EDITION OF BJYM MAGAZINE My article on “Budget 2026: Building the Foundations of Viksit Bharat 2047” reflects a simple idea: Growth is not built on announcements. It is built on discipline, continuity and long-term clarity. The roadmap is clear. The responsibility now is execution. Grateful to @anandrishit_ for the opportunity to contribute and for the effort in bringing policy conversations closer to young minds @narendramodi @nsitharaman @BJP4India @BJYM #Budget2026 #viksitbharat

The ED operation in the CMRL–Exalogic case was clearly not a routine raid. Reports indicate simultaneous searches linked to former Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Veena Vijayan, Mohammed Riyas and senior CMRL officials soon after the Kerala High Court allowed the ED probe to continue under PMLA. What stands out is that central forces were deployed and the operation was reportedly conducted without relying on Kerala Police support, reflecting concerns that operational leaks could compromise the searches. For decades the Left projected itself as the moral force in Indian politics. Allegations like these strike at the very foundation of that narrative.

The Pashupati Seal stands among the most iconic symbols of Bharat’s ancient civilisational continuity. Discovered at Mohenjo-daro and dating back approximately 4,300 years, this remarkable seal from the Sindhu-Saraswati Civilisation depicts Bhagwan Shiva in his Pashupati form — revered as the Lord of all living beings. The figure is seated in a yogic posture and surrounded by animals, reflecting themes deeply rooted in Bharat’s spiritual traditions. The seal embodies ideas that have endured through millennia in Bharat’s civilisational consciousness: yoga, meditation, ascetic thought, harmony with nature and reverence for all forms of life. What makes Bharat exceptional is not merely its antiquity, but its continuity. Few civilisations in human history have preserved such an unbroken cultural and spiritual inheritance across thousands of years while continuing to carry those traditions into the modern age. From the ancient cities of the Sindhu-Saraswati Civilisation to the temples, traditions and sacred practices of modern Bharat, this civilisational thread continues to live on. A timeless reminder that Bharat is not simply an ancient civilisation of the past, but one of the world’s oldest living civilisations. @PMOIndia @PIB_India @ASIGoI @MinOfCultureGoI @gssjodhpur @Rao_InderjitS @mygovindia @AmritMahotsav #PashupatiSeal #BhagwanShiva #SindhuSaraswati #IndianCivilisation #Bharat

A civilisation does not become “mature” by romanticising every empire that ruled over it, nor by erasing difficult chapters of its history in the name of modernity. India can appreciate architecture, literature, language or institutions without ignoring the invasions, destruction, economic extraction and cultural disruption that also accompanied foreign rule. The Mughals did not arrive to “enrich” Bharat, and the British did not colonise India out of goodwill. Like all empires, they primarily served their own political and economic interests. Railways strengthened colonial extraction and administration. English expanded as many indigenous systems weakened under colonial dominance. India’s wealth was systematically drained while repeated famines and institutional decline affected millions. No serious civilisation asks Jews to forget the Holocaust in order to appear “forward looking.” Historical memory is not insecurity. In fact, memory is often what helps societies rebuild with clarity and resilience. A confident civilisation can preserve monuments, learn global languages and absorb useful influences while still retaining an honest understanding of the costs at which they came. Civilisational confidence is built not on self hatred or historical amnesia, but on clarity, continuity and cultural self respect.

India should be able to appreciate every chapter of its history without feeling threatened by it. The Mughals left behind magnificent architecture, art, cuisine, language, and culture. The British left institutions, infrastructure, and the English language—which opened doors for millions, including me. I would not have achieved what I have without mastering English. A mature civilization acknowledges both the achievements and the mistakes of its past. Yet today, too much energy is spent hating what came before us instead of building on it. We should be grateful to the generations that laid the foundations we inherited, learn from history, and focus our attention on creating a better future. The future is full of opportunity. Let’s embrace it rather than remain trapped in endless battles over the past.

Pretending that all religions, ideologies and historical experiences are identical is neither wisdom nor truth. Truth must be understood through history, civilisational memory and by honestly reading scriptures and historical records as they are, not through selective modern narratives. Our ancestors endured invasions, persecution and discriminatory taxation, yet countless families refused to abandon their Hindu identity despite fear, greed or the sword. Reducing that long civilisational struggle to simplistic “all paths are same” slogans insults the sacrifice through which generations protected their dharma. A society that forgets history becomes vulnerable to repeating it.

Reports of missing gold and inventory irregularities at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple have once again raised serious concerns over transparency and accountability in temple administration. But this is not an isolated case. Across Bharat, devotees have repeatedly witnessed concerns over temple wealth, administration and excessive state control over Hindu temples. Temples are sacred centres of dharma sustained by devotees for centuries, not institutions meant to be controlled by governments. It is time to free Hindu temples.

Delhi Gymkhana Club was founded in 1913 as the “Imperial Delhi Gymkhana Club” for the British ruling elite. The nearly 27-acre land it occupies is owned by the Government of India and was granted under a colonial-era perpetual lease. The Centre has now issued a notice seeking possession of the land, citing national security, defence infrastructure and public purpose requirements. The area lies close to the PMO, Home Ministry and key strategic corridors of the capital. This is not just a land dispute. It reflects Bharat’s larger process of decolonising institutions, systems and inherited privileges from the imperial era.

Marco Rubio’s India visit reflected how much India’s global posture has evolved. No dramatic optics. No diplomatic overenthusiasm. No insecurity. India engaged the United States as an important strategic partner while clearly asserting its own national interests, strategic autonomy and “India First” approach. New Delhi’s message was calm but firm: Partnerships will grow through mutual respect and shared interests, not through pressure or expectations of alignment. That is not hostility. That is the conduct of a confident civilisational state engaging the world on its own terms.

British colonial administrators and missionaries once branded Bharatanatyam as “vulgar” because they failed to understand Bharat’s spiritual and civilisational traditions through a narrow Victorian lens. What they mocked as “nautch” was in reality bhakti, philosophy and devotion expressed through movement. Despite colonial stigma and suppression, legends like Rukmini Devi Arundale, Balasaraswati and generations of nattuvanars revived and preserved Bharatanatyam. Today, the world celebrates it as one of humanity’s greatest classical art traditions.

@RajratnaWrites Bharat’s civilisation is not so fragile that it requires validation through a foreign visitor’s travel schedule. Shri Ram belongs to the faith, consciousness and civilisational soul of Hindus across generations, not to diplomatic photo opportunities.

Union Home Minister @AmitShah has announced the constitution of the High-Level Committee on Demographic Change, calling illegal immigration and “unnatural demographic change” a serious challenge to India’s future. Proposed by PM Narendra Modi on 15 August 2025, the committee will study abnormal population shifts across communities and assess their impact on national security, sovereignty, law & order, social structure and tribal communities. Chaired by retired Supreme Court Justice Prakash Prabhakar Naolekar, the committee includes the Census Commissioner, retired IAS & IPS officers and economist Dr Shamika Ravi. A report with time-bound solutions is expected within one year.

In Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah, a mazar linked to Shamsuddin claimed to be “800 years old” and occupied reserved forest land for years. Shamsuddin is linked in historical accounts to Muhammad Ghori’s invading forces. After 64 days of hearings, the court examined forest records from 1916, 1939 and 1946, found no documentary proof supporting the claim, and ordered eviction of the illegal encroachment. Bharat must honour defenders of civilisation, not glorify invaders.

“Dharma” is one of the oldest and broadest civilisational concepts of Bharat. Reducing it only to “Manu Dharma” or “Varna Ashrama” is either intellectual dishonesty or ideological conditioning. In Tamil itself, “அறம்” has historically referred to righteousness, ethics, moral order and duty. Thirukkural’s very first section is called “அறத்துப்பால்” — the Book of Virtue. Are we now going to pretend Tamil civilisation had no concept of Dharma before modern Dravidian politics arrived? Dharma is what guided Rama, Krishna, Buddha and countless saints across Bharat. It is not a “North Indian conspiracy” invented for social oppression as some political propagandists desperately want people to believe. The irony is that people who constantly speak about “social justice” are themselves attacking the very civilisational vocabulary of ethics, duty and righteousness rooted in this land. Tamil civilisation is not separate from Bharat’s civilisational framework. It is one of its brightest pillars.

“அறம்” in Tamil is not the “Dharma” which you mean. This is false equivalence. When you say “Dharma” it directly connotes to Manu Dharma, Varnashrama Dharma. Are you suggesting we should follow that. We are very clear what “Dharma” means in your parlance. தமிழர்கள் வாழ்வியலில் அறம் என்றால்

From Dinamalar Tamil daily today: DMK is calling the Congress Party as அறமில்லாத காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி which translates as "Congress Party without dharma" or "dhama-less Congress Party". I would like to humbly request Udayanidhi to investigate what this Tamil word அறம் (dharma) means. He might get some enlightenment. He might even gain an appreciation for Sanatana Dharma which pervades all of classical Tamil literature. அறம் வெல்லும் (Dharma will win)🙏

Dharma in Sanskrit is known as Dharam in Hindu and Aram in Tamil. I know you dislike the fact that Tamil has any link to Sanskrit but your very name, Saravanan is Śaravaṇa (शरवण) meaning "reed forest" in Sanskrit and it would be pronounced Shravan in Hindi. The word Dravida is also Sanskrit and through Bengali, it is present in our National Anthem. Yet, your entire movement has tried to erase the deep cultural, spiritual and linguistic bonds that tie Tamilagam and Bharatam together. Tamil Nadu is Bharat. தமிழ்த்தாயும் பாரத மாதாவும் ஒன்றே! Bharat Mata ki Jai 🙏

For decades, the illegal Bankra Mosque inside Kolkata Airport’s operational zone remained despite repeated aviation safety warnings. The CPM ignored it. TMC continued the same appeasement politics for vote banks. Finally, national interest, passenger safety and aviation security are being prioritised over appeasement. Law must apply equally to all. 🇮🇳

Mother Teresa’s carefully cultivated image is now facing deeper scrutiny. Critics and investigators documented poor medical care despite massive donations, conversion-linked missionary activity, secret baptisms of dying patients, financial opacity, links with dictators and financial criminals, and the Jharkhand child trafficking case linked to a Missionaries of Charity shelter. Even India later suspended the FCRA licence of the Missionaries of Charity amid scrutiny over foreign funding compliance. Christopher Hitchens summed it up: “She was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty.”

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 31,328 Waqf property registrations in Uttar Pradesh have been cancelled after verification exposed major irregularities in land records and ownership documents. For years, questioning Waqf records was called “communal.” Now official scrutiny itself is exposing the scale of discrepancies inside the system.
